This tournament became stalemated when it went three-handed, playing for five and a half hours without anyone being eliminated, with each of the three being chip-leader and short-stack at various times. Eventually, they got to heads-up, but there was still no progress towards a result and the game was held over for an unscheduled extra day. When they came back for Day 4 of the three-day tournament, it finished in ten minutes, with only four hands being played.
Negreanu made a second top-three finish, but still no bracelet. Lots of points for his backers, though, which is almost everyone. If you don't have him in your team (like I don't), you're going to struggle, being a step behind nearly everyone else.
Mike Matusow stayed off whatever he's on these days long enough to reach the final table (or maybe was helped get there by whatever he's on). Regular finalists Zinno and Monnette were also there.
