WCOAP 2017 - Wales Team
« on: April 06, 2017, 17:53:01 PM »
I'm honoured to announce the Wales Team competing at the WCOAP 2017

Jonathan Rees
Jonathan made his Wales debut in the World Team Championships of 2016 and put in a fantastic performance in winning his heads up game plus 2 out of 3 STT''s and had a big stack in the final MTT before the wheels came off the rest of the team and left us out of contention.
His good form at the WCOAP includes 4 cashes in a variety of events during the 2015 festival.
Jonathan makes up 1 of our 2 super aggro players and will be a handful to play against, even before he starts drinking  ;)

Dan Lowe
Dan will be making his Wales debut this year after a very successful 2016 which which saw him finish runner up twice at Grosvenor 25/25 series events and also final tabling a Grand Prix in Nottingham.
Our second super aggressive player who's style of play could be well suited to the added pressures of the team event.
Dans live cashes last year exceeded $25k and puts him in 59th place in the Wales all time money list.

Paul McGuinness
It's an honour to have such an APAT legend as Paul on the team.
Captain of the all conquering Wales team of 2010 and 2011 that had back to back World Championship wins , he has done it all before.
A gold medal winner also in the WCOAP HORSE event in 2011, he has multiple APAT cashes over 8 years.
Paul will be our main 4 card player and will represent us in the Omaha and Omaha 08 STT's.

Warren Jones
I consider myself fortunate to still be in the Wales team, let alone captain them for the 3rd successive year after our last and last but one place finishes in the past 2 years.
The confidence is starting to return though after a 1st place in the APAT Scottish Online Championships in December for a 4th APAT gold medal and a 2nd place finish to Jon Kalmar in the October Grand Prix.
My gut instinct says this is our year, you heard it here first  ;)

The Wales Team wishes everyone competing at the WCOAP 2017 the very best of luck, it's going to be EPIC  8)
