Applications for the England Team: ECOAP 2017

If you would like to apply to be part of the England team at the ECOAP in Spa, Belgium this October, please do so by sending me a direct message on the forum.

The team event takes place over 2 full days 12th & 13th October and will form part of a wider ECOAP festival from 11th to 15th. The buy in is 110 euros per person, plus the cost of your team polo shirt.

There are a couple of details to be finalised regarding the schedule but it will include NLHE in Heads-Up, SNG and MTT formats and is likely to include PLO & Crazy Pineapple too, although it is likely that only 1 or 2 members of the team will be required to play these formats.

I'm looking forward to your applications. Please make the selection as difficult as possible, I want to take a team there to win

Hi All

I am setting a deadline for applications of '2 weeks today' Friday 11th August. Tom has recently sent me the full event schedule which I will post here later (when not on my phone)... unless Tom sees this and wants to do it for me?!?!

Schedule and format for the team event as promised:

THURSDAY 12 OCTOBER
14:00 - Event 1 - HEADS UP / 4-MAX
Every player will sit down for an SNG in different formats:
- 2 players will play a NLH HU match
- 2 players will play a 4-max NLH SNG
Point allocation will be determined based on the number of countries participating
17:00 - Event 2 - SNG ROUND
Every player will sit down for an SNG in different formats:
- 2 players will play a regular NLH SNG
- 1 player will play a PLO SNG
- 1 player will play a Crazy Pineapple SNG
Every SNG plays down to a winner.
Point allocation will be determined based on the number of countries participating
22:00 - Event 3 - TURBO TEAM SNG
Every player will sit down for a regular NLH SNG.
After a certain amount of play (probably around 2 hours), all the stacks per country are added together for 1 team SNG where 1 player of every country starts the tournament.
In case a country has no players left after the preliminary round, that country will of course not be able to play in the final SNG.
After every level of play, each country has to substitute their player. During the first 4 levels, every player has to play at least 1 level; from then on, countries are free to decide what player continues the tournament. However after every level you have to make a substitution.
Point allocation will be determined based on the number of countries participating
FRIDAY 13 OCTOBER
14:00 - Event 4 - 6-MAX SNG ROUND
Every player will sit down for an SNG in different formats:
- 2 players will play a 6-max NLH SNG
- 1 player will play a 6-max PLO SNG
- 1 player will play a 6- max Crazy Pineapple SNG
Every SNG plays down to a winner.
Important notice: depending on the number of countries, some tables might start with 5 or 7 players!
Point allocation will be determined based on the number of countries participating
18:00 - Event 5 - MTT
All players will start the final MTT. Players will be mixed so that no country has 2 or more players at the same table. When reseating occurs, we will try to keep teams separated for as long as we can.
