Dylan Herbert out 2nd winning £3,500

AJ v Neil"s K8

Jack on the flop

which means Neil Blatchley from Leicester is the 2008 APAT Pro-Am Masters champion winning £6,720 plus a £4,000 GUKPT Grand Final Package.

Well that was a quick aggressive final. Neil dominated large parts of it, finding huge hands when it counted, winning races and running out a deserved winner.

Well done to all the finalists.

Thank you for following the updates.

Next stop Brighton for the European Team Challenge on 1/2 November.

Goodbye!

LOL super speedy final table ... For such a great structure its a shame the final table has such little play.

Congrats to Neil Blatchley though Good luck in the GUKPT.
Revenge is spelt K-A-R-M-A these days apparently!

Deal discussions four way

A deal at an APAT tournament?? Whatever next?

this was an open tournament, not a restricted torunament like APAT Nationals. Players were quite able to deal if they so wished, understandable given the presence of professionals. Not allowed in the Amateurs only comps "played to win"

In most APAT finals there is huge amounts of play after the first few exits. This time there was no exit for over a level, meaning by the time the blinds got bigger,  stacks were shorter than normal.

We then had a huge chip leader, so the other stacks remained small

Deal

Neil takes £6,720

Jason Jones takes £5,000

Dean Morris and Dylan Herbert take £3,500 each

play for the £4,000 GUKPT Grand Final package

chip counts were 580 Neil, Jason 130, Dylan 70, Dean 50

Prizes were £8190, £4680, £3,510  and £2,340

why would you want to do a deal with 2 players so short let the other 3 fight it out then deal heads up or the deal was fair if neil got the seat as well without playing on

well done neil apat and a gbpt double

Congrats to Neil on the win. Wow, what a quick final table.

Great updates again Rich. Thick and fast they were - I couldn"t get time to interact.

congratulations neil. enjoyed playin at ur table most of the day and mixin it up in quite a few pots with you, and as i recall u had a liking for my BB ;)
Neil also made a great laydown with just under 40 players left when he flopped top two pair too my flopped set, i pushed all in on the turn, which represented most of his stack, wp mate, well deserved  ;D

Dean Morris pushes with A2 off. Dylan Herbert calls with AQ off

split pot on a A 10 10 K K board

Am reading this having just got back from COMS (where daylight robbery was committed) and am a little drunk, so please be patient with me, but why is this a split pot?? ???

Dylan AAKKQ
Dean AAKK 10

Q plays IMO
