67SANTINO. Now I remember why I stopped playing on line. In the past 2 days I"ve run 2 high flushes on the turn, bet enough but still been called and ran into rivered full houses  >:( , and also ran a full house into rivered quads last night when my trips where way ahead of the 2 pairs that called me  :"(

Back to 5p/10p blinds now to try to restore my dignity but won"t get on until after midnight as I"m working till then.

I wish you could just buy direct into this - pain in the 4RS3 having to navigate the minefield of idiots in the satellites when I"d happily just pay £50 to play. I know part of the point"s probably to get more users for Sky Poker but i"m never going to use it other than this  >:( Dunno whether or not to it"s worth investing another £12 for the pleasure of another bad beat...

Unlucky with the disconnection Billy...

I know what you mean about the disconnection problem (I'd just joined Skypoker on Monday and was concerned about reliability with there being no application to download) I played one of these last night and we were down to about 12 players (I was pretty short stacked as usual) and the game froze  >:(

The web page for the lobby also froze so I did the usual Ctrl/Alt/Del and ended the application, started explorer again and logged in ok only to be met with a frozen page and no access to the lobby or game.

Tried this 3 times before noticing that when I ended the application explorer was still showing as running in the processes list in Task Manager, but not in the applications. Once I ended that one as well I managed to get back into the web site and game ok  ???

Very frustrating but after getting back into the game I was lucky to manage a quick double up to get me back to short stacked!!

Did manage to qualify and hope you have another crack at it Billy as it would be great to see you there.

Best of luck M8
How can you call that.... you should have bet more...... I was all-in...... well you should have had more to bet.

yeah that was my concern too, with no application, it surely has to make it less reliable? dunno bout reloadin if my money is gonna get wasted.

congrats on qualifying tho, thats quite a few regulars made it (man the pressure is on lol). will see how it goes. i have my induction thurs/fri for the fire service, and my trainin starts on monday for 12 weeks. so dunno if i will have time. wp again.

Disconnects can happen on any network as we know, but the flash based application is actually extremely stable.  Just a shame that some of the dynamos of the Scottish APAT scene don"t appear to have the game to qualify through to the Maybury  ;D

Ohh, the temptation to "big brother" Des" inflammatory attack on Scottish poker is almost overwhelming me......  ;D

Is this the start of the European Team Event banter...?

"Flash based applications" can be a problem when you cant get flash player working on your PC. I had to sit out the whole tourney on Sunday with a blank screen. (Sky did refund me, which I thought was very generous, seeing as it wasn"t their fault)

As for the dig at the Scottish APAT dynamos, it was one of them who came to my rescue, so I wont hear a bad word about them......

....even if its true ;D
