Hi poker777, welcome to Swansea Poker Club! We play an online league at Betfair Poker which usually takes place once a fortnight on a Sunday at 8pm, The cost is $10. If your interested in playing you will need to get a Betfair Poker alias.
The next match is on the fifth of December, hope to see you there the password for all the league games is apatmember. Swansea are currently in division Three but are hoping for promotion this season as we"re second in the league at the moment I"m not sure what games are going on in the Ammanford area etc. but Aspers Casino in Swansea usually have a tournament the first Saturday of every month. If you"ve got any questions about anything get back to me
Cheers

Allyson, stop posting on forums and go and get better so you will be in Coventry on the weekend :-)
Hi Poker777 I will echo Allyson, and say welcome to APAT.
Obviously the online league is an online game (cos it"s an online league). If you do decide to sign up and play the league (and don"t already have a Betfair account) please use one of the links from this site to allow APAT to benefit from your play. Download link is on the homepage
http://www.apat.com As for live poker, it might be out of your way but in my opinion the best venue for live poker in Wales is Les Croupiers in Cardiff, right by Cardiff City Stadium. All the games are dealer dealt and the cash games are very good, run regular and the dealers are excellent. Food and drinks are served at the tables with games running well into the night on Friday and Saturday. Worth a look although a long drive for you.
Aspers Cash games are softer than Croups and run quite frequently, but Croups is a far better experience. I am not a big tournament player and play far more cash than tournaments (outside of APAT I can"t remember when I last played a live tournament). Realistically Aspers is going to be the closest half decent venue to you.
What sort of games are you looking for - there are bound to be some pub games and snooker club games in your area, if you are fairly new to the game they are a great way to start out. Rileys snooker club will run games if you ahev one near to you. If you are more experienced the Aspers/Les Croups are the places you want. Although if you ever get the chance DTD in Nottingham is a different league.
APAT will also be holding be hold an event in Wales in the first half of next year. I expect it to be in Cardiff (at Les Croupiers) although this is based on nothing other than I know they would host it and it is the best venue, it will be a two day £75 10,000 chip starting stack with a superb structure and 45 minute clock. It is run by the best tournament organisers there are (seriously). If you get a chance then I would recommend checking this event out.
There I will stop sounding like an advert for APAT now let you get on with looking around the forum.
