somehow in the 1st hand with quad 8"s i had a feeling i was beat with quads but had to call the extra 300 just incase he too had a King

would like to say tinternet poker is rigged but the quad 6"s i saw recently in a live game

OK are we sitting comfortably then I"ll begin.....

It was a mild evening in Nottingham.... I"d decided to play the £150 double chance tournament to the pacific poker open at DTD.

A coupkle of hours into the tournament I"d been fairly inactive (I know!) when the following hand came up......

The blinds were 100/200 and I had 7k. Villian (tightish player 3rd to act) raises to 500 pre flop. Folds to me in the sb. I peek down and look at 55. I decide to set mine oop.

The big blind comes and the flop folds down.....

Anyone know how beautiful that 5 is and how the world seems a better place when you flop a set?

You do? So obv I am loving the flop and thinking about the best way to get all the money in so leading into him seems like a good plan.

I lead out for 750.... he tanks and makes it 2900 to go.

I dwell up and think for a split second- just a split second that he might have pocket 10"s. Obv if he has my money"s going in anyway but I"ve had a few set over sets recently including a 650 pot in the cash game the previous week.

I shove he calls and flips 10"s. I release my inner poker player and start moaning like a dog about how unlucky I am.

I get up start to wind up my headphones when a 5 hits the turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The river is a bit of a giveaway!
