So the bad run continues and it"s really starting to effect my game. I"m tightening up and then going on stupid monkey tilt. I keep getting outdrawn cos I"m just either playing to cautious or cant win a jot at showdown.

I"ve just bombed out of two tourneys in the second level due to tilt....

Stars 55$

I get dealt JJ and decide to flat and early position raiser:

Flop is Q92. He c bets I call

4 on the turn. He bets again. Now it"s kind of a tricky spot but I decide to flat once more and see what the river brings

4 on the river. He tanks and fires half the pot. Now it"s very unlikely I"m winning. He"s probably firing 3 streets of value and I perhaps should have raised turn to define hand rather than call 3 streets but I decide to call. He obv has A4.

That"s it. One pot lost down to 2k at 10/20 and I lose my head in both this tourney and the full tilt 129 knocked. I open ship with 75 suited in both tourneys

Now you"d think I"d perhaps pick up 30 chips out there in one of the two tourneys wouldn"t ya??? Obv not has QQ and AA have also been dealt. MARV!!!

Tilt used to be a really disgusting leak in my game and I had fixed but it looks as tho it"s back to rear it"s ugly head.

I"m gonna try and take a break from poker methinks or I"ll fire up 20 more tourneys and start open shipping....

Take a week off ... or play somewhere new ... go play face to face ...

Your A game - wins you £29.5k and gets you to the final table in the poker Million.

B and C games just reduce your available ammo for later.

Good Luck - blog about your poker holiday.

This looks a bit like invincibility syndrome. I normally get this after a decent score and donk off because I think I can outplay everyone, every time I enter a pot.

You"ve had some big wins this year George, but you cant win them all. It probably feels like you cant win a hand at the moment though..

I"m sure you"ll bounce back......you"re too good not to!!

I was surfing on the Gutshot website:

Guys- as always thanks for your support- I"m debating a trip to DTD tonight or tomorrow to get a live tourney under my belt and maybe play some live cash (which is ridiculously soft)

Ended up at DTD last night so unfortunately won"t be there tonight to see Duke and Duke jnr- bugger!!!

Played the comp and started my usual card deadidness which has haunted me lately but I concentrated- stayed patient.

Whittled down to 3800 at 75/150 I look down 4th to act at A9- not a monster but decided I needed to get busy. Raised to 400 and got a cold caller from a guy two to my left- aggro and liked to see a lot of hands but he was only down to around 2k. Big blind (bit of a fish, chipped up) comes along for the ride and we see a flop of A83 two clubs.

Big blind checks, I check knowing that the guy to my left can"t resist (with his stack and his hand range I"m not laying down this rag ace) He bets 600 with 1k behin, big blind cold calls- I put him squarely on a draw so raise to 2k. Aggro guy shrugs and puts his last 1k in the pot and big stack goes- "I can"t pass now" and flats???

We see a 5 on the turn and I am 99% sure big stack has a draw- not sure what my aggro friend has but I need to bet this turn so I can make money on the side if I lose the big pot so shove for my last few chips.

Big stack has 106 clubs, aggro has AK! Oooops. Before I can blink, the sexy 9 on the river (non club) comes down and I"ve done it! This is it! I"m gonna win it!!!! weeeeeeeeeee

Or not.....

I have a stack of around 8k at start of hand (been in a few pots nothing major) at 100/200 and have A4 on the button so make it 550. Both the sb and bb call.

The flop comes  qc :2c: 5c

I have a gutshot, with the flush draw so when they both check to me I bet 950. SB raises to 2100 and the bb folds. I haven"t seen much of the small blinds hands (he"s not played too many hands) so not sure how to read this raise. However my hand is too strong not to get my money in here (he has me covered) and I shove.

He calls and shows a very well played QQ...... bink 3 on the turn. YES! I"m gonna win...... 2 on the river. gg, wp. It continues but:

1) For the first time in ages, I approached and played a tourney well
2) MY opponent played the hand very well so I doth my cap to him
3) I didn"t go out on a bad beat or to a complete donkey so I felt good!

Ended up staying till 5.30am playing Omaha 2/2 and then hold em 1/2. Won 500 on PL and lost 200 on hold em but had a great time. Red Dog was at my table- legend! We had a lot of table banter and a laugh.

A few sick hands occured at hold em and omaha- I"ll post some up a bit later!

256$ mini FTOPS
10$r mini ftops
69$
55$

Stars:
