So today is the second attempt to get the Test match going in Antigua, hopefully it will be a success and some cricket will be seen.  The weather does seem to be trying it"s hardest to scupper that though, fairly cloudy upon waking and shower after shower rolling in.

We have an early start from the hotel, leaving at 8am local time, noon to you guys. Apparently it could be chaos at the ground with the short time to get everything organised at the ARG.

Will hopefully be able to update you all with the days play later and the experience of the ground.

At the Ground

Nice journey to the ground a bit of cloud in the sky and a few showers early doors, everyone getting to the ground very early and the atmosphere is awesome.  Lots of England supporters and a fair few West Indian supporters in our stand too, it"s going to be a good day !!

The Welsh contingent get there club colours and flag ready for hanging up, we"ve all spent the bus ride in telling them it was a moral victory for England in the rugby yesterday, 2 tries to 1  ;D

Before the start the the stands are filling and a cracking time is being had by all, the game hasn"t even started yet !!

First Session

Chris Gayle wins the toss and decides to field, with some rain in the air is this a good decision, will the wicket do anything.  Strauss and Cook follow the West Indians out at 10:45am, a delayed start due to the damp outfield.

Play gets underway with Jerome Taylor bowling to Strauss, Strauss is quick of the mark.

In the same over, Strauss clips Taylor to the boundary for four, similar start to Friday !! Are we going to get past 10 balls, lets hope so !!

The session is negotiated without really a chance being given by either batsmen before lunch, in fact I can"t remember one appeal from the Windies, great session for England and it"s 58-0 at Lunch.

Time for some beers and local fare  ;D

Up early again, the Welsh guys had said they were going to knock on my door for an early morning swim in the sea at six, no knock on the door they must have had a few too many beers last night  ;D

So it"s day 2 and looking forward to another awesome day of cricket, hopeful that we will get to see the destructive best of KP today.  My prediction today is that England will push on and bat for most of the day, declare, and give the Windies a tough hour to survive at the end, with a couple of wickets to boot.

Here"s hoping  8)

fingers crossed we can amass a massive score. Without Ryan bowling I withhold judgement on how well we can do in WI"s first innings... fingers crossed for our fast bowlers tho...

Sounds like your having a great time :)

I have no doubt that we will get a massive score - But we are batting to slowly - the pace needs to pick up to give us a chance to bowl the WI out!!!

If we dont capitulate as we appear to be doing - Pietersen and Flintoff out in 3 balls!!

thats wrong!!! what a great Game!

You think that getting knocked out of an APAT event before the first break can get a bit messy - See Walsall as example - then you should attend a days test cricket - its a Hoot! ;D ;D
