I would like to thank the cardroom staff at G Luton for the way they welcomed APAT, 300 of our members and many of our non playing friends to their Casino over the weekend. The dealing team were faultless and are a credit to Grosvenor, as are the management team at Luton.
Similarly, thanks to Mike and Jonathan who represented our Season Two sponsor Blue Square at the event, for their vote of confidence in APAT.
The APAT team put in an outstanding effort this weekend, but in addition to Richard and Tony, I would like to especially thank Ian "HaworthBantam" Burnett who worked his socks off to lead the live update effort from the floor. Thanks to the many others who chipped in also, but Ian was a real trooper.
Finally, a big thanks to our members. The friendly competitive spirit generated at APAT events is unique in my experience. I lost count of the number of players who came up to the team and I after their exit and said what a great time they"d had. It"s a really good feeling to continually get that sort of feedback. Its win win all around and long may it continue.
