This is a little frustating. I"ve managed to secure day release from County Hall and have been asked to man the council information desk in one of Norfolk"s libraries. Therein lies my frustration. The library in question is in Wroxham which in summer is the hub of the Norfolk boating holiday industry and becomes choked with visitors. From October onwards when the boat fleets reside in their winter quarters, Wroxham, in common with great swathes of Norfolk, reverts to being a quiet country town with a high proportion of retired residents. As the paths are white in all directions and the snow is still falling, few people are venturing out.
  Norfolk County Council has a policy of not allowing internet access for anything not related to work, so strictly speaking, I"m being a very bad boy by typing this. I would love to be able to fire-up a couple of cash tables to pass the time, but I suspect I would not be employed much longer if I used a council PC to play poker on. I"m here until 5.30pm and I can"t see much happening in that time. AAAAARRggghhhhhh
