if you wanna do it cheap it is £39 in caerphilly travel lodge and only a 20 minute drive into the casino or £12 taxi as well as a train service which takes you straight to the casino

Where are you staying Steve?

Need to know which door to nail shut to stop you reaching FT again!  8)

Because I drove home from Walsall on the Saturday night, I don"t want to change the karma so will be driving home from Cardiff on the Saturday night...... so not booking a hotel. Only problem is that it"s 90 miles instead of 25...  still, chances of 2 day twos in a row? narrow to slim - so who needs a hotel!!

£69.23 for double AND twin rooms at the Future Inn.  I have just booked myself a room and have received confirmation of my booking.

You can cancel with no charge up to the 28th March.

Hope this helps,

I used to often stay at the Travel Inn (not the one in the town centre - the other one) cos its the only Travel Inn in the country that has leisure facilities. It"s attached to a David Lloyd Centre and you go in there for meals (passage is indoors), so you get to use the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, etc for free. Probably not really supposed to, but no-one ever stopped us. Food there is unfit for human consumption, though.

There"s a Holiday Inn (might be a HI express) located on the same road as the Etap and it"s certainly within walking and staggering distance from the Cardiff Grosvenor.

Just booked a nice apartment about 10 minutes walk from the casino.  £60 a night for a twin room, and they look very pleasant.  Not going to be there much, so as long as the beds are comfy and the shower works (oh and the loo thinking about it), it"ll be fine.
