Why does it always come on the river.

Deep in stars 10k event 50 players left from 2700 players, just a wee bit bellow chip avrage.

I have and re raise  pre.,  Guy calls, flop come 8 high there is like 35000 in pot and I decide to shove for 45000, as I dont want to see an over cards on turn. Guy calls with Ace king. I hate his call for 1/3 of his stack. Turn is blank and good old king on the river.

Did i play the flop wrong?

P.S I swore so loud when it hit lol!!

I must just play bad but in a $24 tourney , A guy just check called me down every street with ace high.

Is this normal or do i just play really really bad!!

35,000 in the pot with 45,000 of a stack and an overpair to the flop.... would you ever check flold!!!!   IMHO you did the right thing and just got unlucky at a bad time.... wp getting that deep m8

Thats an interesting one..... do you have a history of playing against this person? how did the hand play out?

well I prob didnt play it good but im in a bad mood. Dont think so I dont have any stats on them.

I make raise from button 3x blind with queen 8, I get re  popped for 200 more so I call, in position.

Flop come   tc ,  so i have gutt shot. I bet 3/4 pot, get flat call. Really did put them on much.

Turn is a  . I continue with play 3/4 pot again and call River is club to make flush. I they check and of course the only way I belive I can win is to bet  so I push allin, they snap call. With ace high.

I do belive I played the hand very smelly with such a draw heavy board but still, I decided to continue with my plan.

And ace high wins. Srange hand.

Had a losing session on cash games yesterday and went chasing, jumped up a few levels and burts a nice chunk of my roll. I really need to talk to someone about this problem of mine.

Some times you just run bad! I had been doing very nice at the 6 max sng tables, playing both $20 and $10, I just played 5 in a row and recived some major out draws. Its funny how it goes some time. Well not so much funny lol!

Not funny at all, I am in the middle of a major downswing in variance that was typified in a small MTT last night where I had played tight and got to the FT with 10 x bb, There was a raise EP to 3 x bb call in MP and me on the button with AKs- push, one caller with pair of 3, K on the flop , 3 on the turn and goodnight Vienna. I can tell you I wasn"t laughing!!

feel as if i am running really bad right now, I cant seem to win a Sng now or even make a good return on the cash tables. I find my self making some good calls and plays, but just not getting the right outcome. Think I might focuse on live games at the moment.

The Cash games in the merchant city seem pretty soft, so will give them a go. I feel as if i get less reckless live in cash session!

so played 2 of the DD on stars, First I get seat and just finished  for a small cash and bubbled the seat. Bit gutted not to get seat had decent stack and got river to full house, but hey I can complaint 2 results.
