Eyes wide shut ...
« on: March 10, 2009, 00:24:33 AM »
... 2nd of 75 for $1000 ... decent consolation in ridiculous event ...

I folded so many small pairs ... last three with massive blinds suddenly a little poker broke out ...

Timebanks and everything!

I have 10000 chips after folding to a continuation bet ... my rivals 40000 and 50000 ... blinds are 3000/6000 ... smile ... the large stack goes for a bluff and is called ... to hand me a $400 bonus ... having crippled the bluffer ...

Of course one last bad beat for me AQ vs x-6 ... spikes the 6 ... but work done ...

3rd late last week ... 2nd tonight ... I guess I will have to try and win it tomorrow!

... cheers Mary ...

Pays for assault on Sunday tournaments ...

The tournament is rather like a fruit machine ... nice when the melons come in ...

Only 75 runners - $3750 in - $5000 paid out nice uplift.

Not a bad pay day for the buy-in hun.  Where do you play?

Betfair 11pm each evening.

1500 chips - 5 min blinds - usually more runners - Monday night syndrome.

If over 100 then they pay to 18th ... often there are about 104 ... so pretty friendly to get stake back plus a little ... or have a chance for top three prizes $1500,$1000,$600.

Standard play really except losing half my stack with AQ vs AQ vs A6 ... quickly re-doubled ... and got stack with JJ vs 88 vs 66 just before final table.

My brain was fried after Sunday so this is as difficult a tournament as I could manage having donked off $200 playing terrible cash.

Got married to the ladies ... then watch top two pair get crushed by a gutshot ... I need to revise my cash game ... actually just stop playing unless both hands are tied behind back and I have to operate betting with my nose or something like that ... I am just too prone to try ludicrous moves on low level tables ... though you can soon donk it off ...

Anyway + $850 and a "free" shot at Sunday"s big one isn"t bad for ten days ... but will now preserve the cash ... (until SUNDAY)

... this is now my favourite event ever ... 4th of 82 tonight ...

Last 7 I have played, 4 final tables, and $375 in for $2,500 return.

Probably the luckiest I have ever been ... dishing 5 bad beats ... and suffering 1 ...

Where is that form in a big tournament ... I crave the day.
