The NL was more interesting but you know the game is up with your flopped straight loses to the runner-runner house ... finally pushing J9s on the button into the BB holding TT ...

Southern Scotland is freezing - so you look at the weather forecast for hope - Snow on Wednesday - the last day of March ...

Something wrong with snow in the air and the cricket season about to begin ... Fenners and Parks ... for opening games ... funny to think back to my first Wisden (1984) ... musty yellow books ... I love the idea that the past was good and that the future will be great ... the "now" being the pivot point and with both future and past are positive easy to enjoy the moment ...

The white grenache is good ... but the poker was poor ...

Decide to flat call a raise with 78s ... picked up an up and down straight down ... so decided to push all in (under no pressure) ... called by the top pair ... picked up a load of flush outs but missed them.

Poor play ... no escuses ... felt lucky ...

Bayern not really contributing to my dream 2-2 ... oh well ... just have to go to bed ...and get up at 6am ... all guns blazing ...

Easter ... premier Haggis with whisky and mushroom sauce (cooking with single malt whisky is so right!)

Knocked out by working flat out ... great to chill with some chilled wine ...

There is a great leg of mutton ready for the Saturday feast ... rub it well and roast it ... as they say.
