... when you say break ... I take it you mean "see you in the Sunday Warm Up" ...

I have been driven half crazy by my results this year ... albeit with some lucky spikes in the middle.

A lot of good poker can be undone by a couple of hands ... that said play the good poker and the flip of the variance curve will reward you in the end.

I recall playing a £100 freeze-out at the gutshot years ago, for two hours I watched a real steamroller, perfect play, then in two consecutive hands turned to dust with KK vs AA and QQ vs KK ... still a few chips left ... two hands later tripled with AA ... but still mortally wounded ... maybe that run is a reason to give poker up ... but I think it is a reason to play ...

Catch up in Edinburgh if not before.

Three more seats and one minor cash from 22 games? Nice one Rob, keep it up!

I"ve been playing and running poorly in the few I"ve played this week. I find I like the ones with between 55 and 75 runners and have been trying to pick only such games.

I played really well in one this morning, I got to HU on first table then this happened ...

(this is not meant as a bad beat story, more of a "for your amusement" kinda post ... )

I knew when we started this thread, that it would lead to big things.

Okay, I thought that might be for myself or Neil, and I thought it might take a while.

But the big achievement came last night, from Rob Swindells.  A 2nd place finish in the Sunday WarmUp on PokerStars is an incredible achievement, and he qualified through the double shootouts that we play and have been talking about on this thread.

I can"t get hold of Luky at the moment, he is currently with our solicitors, trying to establish any claim we may have on some of Rob"s winnings.  Times are tough, ROI is falling and Luky is on a downward variance slope at the moment.  And I have had very little time to play.

So pleased for Rob and can"t wait to buy him a pint in Edinburgh to say well done.

See, this thread does have it"s uses.

If you haven"t read about Rob"s success, you can HERE

I was thinking somewhere around the 10% each, similar to our deal at DTD  ;)

We can write what we like at this time of day.

Rob will have the entire staffroom down the pub and closed the school for the afternoon.   ;D

He won"t even read it.

Played a bit last night and this morning and I"m 4 FTs outta 5.

Game 1 - bubble boy for cash (7th or so)
Game 2 - $215 seat won
Game 3 - played for the win and ran J8s into KK
Game 4 - bubble boy (3rd) in 2 Seater for $0 - V FRUSTRATING as I played very well again
Game 5 - out 6th with only 2 Seats being awarded. Raised with 24h from button (yeah, I know), called only by SB. I c-bet with 2 hearts out on flop fully intending to call a shove, which the BB did with his flopped trips. No more hearts so out.

Played a $33 ($10k GTD) earlier and overplayed AQo to my detriment.

LOL @ the Newbie. WP Kenny. No disrespect, but don"t get too used to it. Then again, ignore me, play the Sunday Million and spin it up to $95k like oor Rob ;)

If you don"t plan to play it, remember you can withdraw it into T$ to be used in more of these $11ers.

GL and keep us posted. On your own f*kin thread tho!
