Just returned to Hotel after going out 27th from 172 runners. A very pleasant tournament all in all - most enjoyable. I ended up pushing my last 14k with J9o, was called by other shorty to my immediate left with KJo and again by QQ by mid-position player. K hit the flop to triple shorty up, GL to him.

Was on 30k, 99 cost me 10k on 83Q 8 4 board, and A7 another 5k when I raised from cut-off into SB"s AK

I"m not one to get disappointed about my poker (excluding donk moves at donk times) so I"m only slightly bummed to have gone out 10 before the money. But for only £370 / £590, I didn"t want a min-cash - as always, I was playing for the win! Although card dead for the last 2 hours, I think back over the hands I maybe should have shoved with - the 84o / 62o / Q3o type hands that plagued me for the last two levels. Take a 40/60 shot and try to double up ... ach well, I shall linger on this no more.

Gnite and thanks for the support.

Louis,

Not sure, but I really hope it includes more tournaments like this one.  Was really good to play in.

Must try and satellite in to bigger events a lot more.  It"s a difficult balance though as I have over the years leaked a lot of bankroll trying to qualify for events.

The Turbos DSs are back up on Stars but I"ve only had time to play one so far this week. As work is getting busier (and will get worse up "til Xmas), I"m not sure I"ll be able to dedicate time to playing much over the next couple of weeks. As Leigh said, satelliting into these kind of tourneys more often would be great, even though they demand even more time and expense not to mention time away from the family.

ATM, I have a -4% ROI on Stars and Leigh has a very healthy 18% thanks to his sweet run of $530 Seats at the WCOOP. These statistically were much harder than the Sunday Million / WarmUp DSs but what can I say, the boy did good!

We"ll keep you posted.

Having caught up with a significant amount of work having left poker alone for the past few days, I"m gonna hit the tables again today. With just one appointment this afternoon, I should get a good session of GTDs and DSs in this morning.

Run good, one day.
