Why don"t we all just sit patiently and wait for the official line, that would be easier than predicting and worrying about registering etc wouldn"t it??  ::)

It would be a bit like waiting for the right cards  :as: ah before you go all in ;D

That"s boring  ;D

Leave that to the Rocks - let"s stick with a bit of Scandie style speculation instead :)

Me too actually - I only ever bet when I"m dealt pocket Aces

It"s weird how many of them I get though :)

It"s quite amazing how many of us never bluff.

This is to do with the amount of seats allocated for the nationals. The top 10% are going through to the nationals, and for every 10 seats in the regionals there wll be the need for 1 extra seat in the National. As there is only limited amount of seats in the nationals, the APAT team have allocated a maximum of 80 per event.

There will then be the chance for 3 ways to get into the national events. Live sat, online sat, and the clickfest.

I rang the Grosvenor in Newcastle last night ... apparently they only found out about the tourney yesterday ... are not opening until 2.00pm on Saturday and don"t expect it to be busy.

I"m getting a little worried. If they don"t open til 2.00 and then players have to join  and register .. there"s no way it can start at 2.30. Has anyone else thought about going to Newcastle to play .. or need I not worry cos there"ll only be me??

:o ???

Called the Gala in Edinburgh... they"re opening at 1pm. Will need a passport or a driving licence to join the casino.

Maybe the person you spoke to only found out then - but they"ve known for a lot longer.

If they"re planning on starting at 2:30, they"ll be open long before 2.

From what I was told last night (after they called me back cos no-one knew anything about an APAT tourney at first) ... the supervisor has been working in London .. so no-one knew about it until yesterday? (Strange!). I asked what time they were opening and they said 2 o"clock, no need to open any earlier cos Saturday afternoons are always quiet. I tried to explain it might not be quiet ... but was assured that opening at 2 for the tourney at 2.30 was fine .. cos they weren"t expecting many entries.

I know they SHOULD have known about this earlier Kinboshi ..... but it really does appear they didn"t.
