The WSOP 2009 thread
« on: June 14, 2009, 18:22:57 PM »
Is nobody following the WSOP this year?

Been a great series so far, especially with all the live feeds online.

Some great final tables and stories so far in the year:

Brock Parker wins two bracelets in space of 4 days (one heads up vs Negreanu)
and
Phil Ivey winning two bracelets in the same week and sweeping up $Million$ in side bets...

Who"s following?

I"m following...

Ivey apparently gave his winnings in the first one to the dealer, before collecting a few million in side bets.

De Wolfe has a few FTs

Michael Greco came 3rd from 2500 in a $1500 donkshoot. WP that man too

Yeah, I"m following it too. Ivey is a machine. I"ve been following Negreanu"s Blogs where he praises Ivey and tells it how it is in the WSOP when you"re playin 15 hour days.

I"m glad we have a thread to discuss it now, WP Crizzy :)

Yeah I heard he gave the dealers the winnings, when asked during heads up by the guy he was playing how much was the bracelet worth to him he replied "about $3 mil"... sickness. I heard apparently he"s picking up around $10mil for the 2nd bracelet but that"s just a rumour at the moment. The $3m came straight from his mouth though!

Noticed Greco was at a final table too, very WP - how much he get?

DeWolfe is on a final table today or tomorrow with Andy Black, Alex Kravchenko & Scott Clements...
