danie negreanu gone.

Daniel Negreanu  0 -22,000

EDIT :

Sun, 05 Jul 2009 15:10:27
Negreanu All In and Behind

Daniel Negreanu has been sliding down the board since play began, and we recently overheard the "All in," announcement from the microphone over on the featured table. Action is hard to catch at that table, but it appears Negreanu called a raise before the flop. When we walked up to the hand, the first three cards were already out on the table, showing  ts 7d th  . The unknown opponent led out with 4,200, and Negreanu moved all in for 6,075. His opponent considered for about thirty seconds before making the call.
Showdown
Negreanu:  :3s: :3c:  Opponent:  qs qd  The turn was the 6d , and Negreanu"s opponent let out a big, "Whoa!" Negreanu chuckled and gave him a pat on the shoulder. "A six? You"re scared of a six?!" With one card separating him from the exit, Kid Poker watched a blank  js  land on the river, ending his day and his WSOP for this year.

Hmmmm - Are we sure that Durrrr is actually out. Looking at last nights updates from wsop.com it seems his father, Thomas, may have been the man eliminated. There is no mention of Durrr himself in the updates.

"Sun, 05 Jul 2009 17:47:38  Thomas Dwan Eliminated  We got to the table just as Thomas Dwan moved all in. He got one caller. Dwan:  Opponent:  The flop of  gave Dwan a sweat, but he couldn"t complete his flush when the board finished "

"Sun, 05 Jul 2009 16:55:59  Tom Dwan Is Not Durrrr  Our WSOP-issued list of notable players in today"s event listed Thomas Dwan as playing at table 97 seat 2. When we went by to check however, the man seated in that position was definitely not Durrrr. We chalked it up as a typographical error and moved on. Turns out, the WSOP folks were right. The player seated at table 97 seat 2 is Durrrr"s father, Thomas Dwan"

Josh Arieh off to a great start on Day 1d ... I nearly pumped my % up on him ... but went for him to make the final table at 150/1 instead ... 78k at first break.

Absurdly early to get excited ... but certainly a good start!

That would be pretty absurd ... but I guess very believable ...
