Not a terrible call IMO.  He thinks you have not hit the 8, so thinks he is good to your 2 overcards.

Pretty basic really

i appreciate that post flop- but preflop is a whole different ball game,i don tusually gripe as poker is poker but at times you do wonder on-line,my last 4 tourneys in this league is out to A/A,A/A (no gripe) my A/A vs 7/7 ok it happens, and then tonight my K/K vs 7/7

I don"t think you should have posted this on here. Posting hands played against random people in the analysis section is one thing, but I don"t think that putting a hand from an APAT game on here in order to criticise the other person"s play is acceptable. It is worse than slagging someone off in the chatbox because lots of people reading it will know the person you are running down. I hope Des stops this kind of thing before it leads to us all criticising each other"s play (which I have a personal interest in avoiding - lol).

This thread was noticed early on. We"ve decided to let it run hoping that it has gone the way it has - others offering good reasons as to why the hand was played as it was.

several answers im afraid, , ,

1, put u on 2 overs, flop gr8 for my 77,

2, your stack size, as mentioned, its a push regardless of miss or hit,

3. don"t know what a tag player is..

4. look where cardiff are, w must all be really lucky...

5. grow somw balls, then u wont be left with a teeny insta call stack.......

JUST SOME TIPS....HOPE YOU IMPROVE SOON !!!

it is not meant as a slagging off of someones play, but to find ou why someone would do that,i apologise if it has come across the wrong way,
there are a hell of  lot of great players on this forum, and occasionally you have to question why someone does what they do.is it because they have a graet stack and dont care or is it because they genuinely believe they are ahed.

We have kept the thread up as it is an interesting debate.  As long as it doesn"t turn into a personal slagging match, then it will remain live.

Good post Alan, and fair play to Dan for explaining his thought process.

So by default you put every raiser on AK exactly? What if he open shoves, call or fold?
