With no antes & 200+ fields they could last 6/7 hours so having 10min blinds would shorten the tournament (especially on a Thursday) when/if antes are introduced then the levels could be increased to 15/20 min

fair enough. I suppose with 5000 chips as well, it will be a better tourney than most on BS.

Could there by two structures, one for Thursday and one for Saturday?

Saturday being the 5000 15min blinds

Thursday being 5000 10min blinds

Or do you think that the fields will not be over 200?

Just noticed bluesquare have the 1st few online events listed and open for reg. they"ve only put the austrian, french and danish. the swiss is missing! has it been cancelled or left out in error? Does anyone know the cost of entry for the online sats?

I just registered for these events and notice they dont ask for a password. Does this mean we are going to get loads of FISH?

Unlike all the APAT players!!

No password, as anyone who plays one of these on BlueSQ automatically becomes a member.  Same for the live events at the Grosvenor.

Not a huge fan of that either, but I believe it was part of the sponsorship deal.

Hi to every1

I agree blind levels at 10 min is too quick as I hate crapshoots as I like to play poker and 20 min at least would be better, any chance of that? any reason why Pokerstars isn"t hosting anymore?

Look forward to playing whenever my other half lets me!

Software development takes a loooong time and there were an awful lot of things that were (and continue) to be fed back to BSq. Things have to be coded, tested, re-coded, re-tested and then released.

Couldn"t they just design, code and test it correctly the first time? :D

Blue Square are the new sponsors.

I"m one who agrees that the Blue Square software just can"t compete with how good Pokerstars was.

But the link up with the Grosvenor chain plus the extra sponsorship money plus the fact that Blue Square are trying to improve the software makes it overall a better deal - even though it means having to put up with slightly wonky software.

Slow playing aces is a bit like making love to your best mate's bird - you know you shouldn't but you just can't help yourself.

It had not been tagged on their system to go live, but that is being addressed and it will be up shortly.   The clock will also go back to 15 minutes.

The thing is, with blue square software, its not JUST their software, there would be a lot of other sites needing to be updated. Im not sure how much upheval that would cause

I"m not a fan of having no password for these events.

Surely you will get players who enter the tournament without any intention of being able to take one of the seats available.

I think these tournaments should have a password but with information stating that Blue Square members only have to go to this website to confirm their free membership. At which point they will be emailed/PM"d the password.

This means that they have to go to the site, so they will probably read a bit about what APAt is about. As well as improving site traffic to the site this will mean it will become much less likely that we will have entrants who don"t know what APAt is about and only entering - because it"s there.
