Nice catch
« on: July 24, 2009, 15:54:40 PM »
Local casino last night. Edinburgh circus casino. £20 with 1 rebuy & addon

didn"t require any addons or rebuys. Good healthy stack at the break and even with others adding on I"ve got twice as many chips as the others at my table. After the break I get changed to another table with one oter big stack. I have 30k he has about 35k and average is 10k.

Sit tight for an hour as alot of fishy play and limping in or calling with any ace going on. Other big stack takes a hit as I have 7 2 in the sb and hit fullhouse on the flop to his pocket jacks when I make up the blinds with 3 limpets.  Big stack starts calling me a donkey fish for completing the sb.

Couple of hands later I have pocket jacks and still the 35k stack and our villan has got back up to his 40k. He limps on a 400/800 blind and I make it 3.5k. Everyone folds to villan and he calls

585 rainbow flop. Villan checks and I put him on an ace. Happy to take pot here so I bet 7k into 8k pot and insta goes all in. I"m thinking now. Has he slowplayed pocket aces or kings. The previous hand when he had jacks raised my attention. Maybe ace 5 but I doubt it. Maybe ace 8. I tank for a few minutes and decide I reckon I"m still ahead and call.

Villain has........... AQ diamonds on no diamonds on the flop.  Oh no he says I thought you had nothing. I"ve only got 2 outs.

?????? What I say. At what point do you think I had nothing. The pre flop raise or the large pit sized bet to scare you off playing your ace. Also you don"t have 2 outs. You have 6. 3 aces and 3 queens.

happy with that until the river ACE comes out. Get up from the table and the only time I"ve insulted another player at the table. Nothing bad. Just that he played that really well and deserved the monster chip lead. Maybe ill be better off at bingo than you are at poker. Felt bad about it after I left but was too late to apolagise

What is worse than insulting another player at the table after a bad beat?

Feeling bad about it afterwards. ;)
