40/1 is hilarious, no-one should ever be 40/1
even 66/1 isn"t credible.

I"ll lay anyone even money that i think a player with odds of 150/1 or higher wins the main event, up to twenty british pounds :)

the first person to accept can consider the action booked :)

EDIT: WYoung83 action booked

I find it strange that in an event with around 300 runners, not one single player is 300-1 or, as should be, worse than this price. Where are the 400-1 shots? Can we all be better than the average for this event? (Note: that"s impossible ::))

How can 200-1 be the outsiders in a 300 horse race? No wonder the favourites are such poor odds!

Do they really believe poker players don"t understand odds and are ust ripping us off?

I agree with this John, but at the end of the day it is just a bit of fun. BSQ wont make much money on this due to the £20 limit put in place

also i got you E/W when you too were 150/1

but anyway, anyone wins with odds of 150/1 or greater at the start of play, I win
anyone wins with odds of 149/1 or lower, you win

:) i posted a copy of the prices in case they are removed by bluesq here:

Sweet. Cheers Rich. im a sucker for props....if you remember what i look like then come and say hi.

I agree with you about it beign crazy for 2 players to be 40-1. They may well be the best players in the room, but evan if phill hellmuth shows up, i wouldnt bother putting money on him to win, (and what would the 0dds be then 10-1?).
Apat events become craapshoots towards the end of day 1. And there is way too much luck involved, with surving coin flips over and over, i know most tourneys apart from the $10,000 main events go like this at some point. Maybe with 300 runners this tourney could be better though. More chips spread over the last 2 tables and final table etc....

Wow, iv just seen that i have gone from 150-1 and now at 80-1...., i should not be 80-1.such a big jump A few peoples odds have changed actually.

I think the two being at 40/1 is less to do with the odds BS think they have of winning, but more a reflection of the amount that has been bet on each of them to win it (probably by the players themselves).  The new odds are just a reflection of the action on them.

in the case of neil blatchly i believe this is true as its indicated on other forums he has backed himself. but as for ben turnstill the price is laughable, ben was put in at 40/1 and hasnt had a penny on himself nor as far as i know nobody else has either.

i hope not anyway because ben isnt actually playing. he perchased a seat a week or so ago hoping to but has since tranfered it to a friend. apat were informed a fair while ago and was hoping blue square might adjust there market accordingly.
