Republic of Ireland - European Team Championship 2009
« on: October 14, 2009, 22:56:21 PM »
I"m sad to announce that Len Collin; victorious captain of the Irish team that won last year"s event, is unable to join us in Luton in November.

On the plus side, I"m really pleased to announce the appointment of Brendan Byrne as player captain of the Republic of Ireland team.  Brendan made the final table of the Irish Amateur Championship in 2007 and was a member of the successful Irish team that took Brighton by storm last year.

The very best of luck to Brendan and I"m sure he will be confirming his team selection very shortly.

Great picks Brendan.  I see you"ve gone down the Scottish route of keeping us waiting for the final pick.  ;D

Sorry to hear Len couldn"t make it, but can"t think of a better person to step into his shoes.

Good luck guys.
