Hi peeps,

I managed to sneek in by the the clickfest last night, which I"m mighty happy about, so well done to everyone else who got in, and commiserations to those who missed out.

Anyways, being pretty new to the APAT i have a few questions about the APAT English Poker Championship in Walsall on Nov. 3rd & 4th:

1) What are the prizes? How many positions paid etc.?

2) Will there be any merchandise for sale? Would be nice to say by a APAT t-shirt or something as a souvenier. Is this something that will be available?
Also, would think it would be a good idea if there was a photographer there wherer you can buy a pic of yourself as im sure most people would like a pic of themselves playing in the tourney to post in their profile.

3) Is there a dress code at Walsall Grosvenor Casino? What are you allowed and not allowed to wear?

4) Is the total 200 players on the day?

5) Are all the starting tables dealer dealt or self deal?

Thanks in advance!

Oh, and if there is anyone going to this event from London/Kent area - let me know!

Not 100% sure, I think they"re posted elsewhere and I"ll have a look.

It"s something like £3,000 for the winner, as well as entry into a GUKPT event, a trophy, gold medal and lots of media exposure.  Second place get a fair whack too, and I think it pays down to 10% - which would be 20th.

Top 18 get ranking points which are for a season leaderboard with a major prize at the end.

No idea.  The plan is merchandise will be available sooner or later, but don"t know if it will be in time for November.  Someone else will have to answer this?

Des will take a piccy of you when you play.  He does this every tournament and they are uploaded for all to see.  Good photos too, must be a decent camera... ;)

Not 100% sure on this either.  Generally it"s no ripped jeans or footy tops.  Not sure about hoodies, trainers, etc.  Best to contact the casino about this to make sure if you"re planning on dressing like Phil Laak!

I think so...

100% dealer-dealt.

Walsall casino, to put it bluntly, is ruff... :p

By that I mean people wear what the hell they like in that place. Trainers, jeans etc... Be sensible. But I wouldnt be too worried. I wouldnt like a telling off from Q though (nickname for the manager there haha! Quentin I think his full name is).

Its a nice casino to be fair. will easily seat all the players. Not too sure about dealers though :s....

The cash games are crazy though. I mean the lowest one is usually £1/£2 £200 NL and even in that you sometimes get 4 straddles in one hand :/

Does anyone know what the starting stack is?
What the blinds start at and how often they go up?
