Well done to Carl (Shogun112) who, in a 3 way chop, pocketed £2,700 in the Luton New Years day game.

Hey all, thanks for the comments, had a great weekend darn sarf,  obviously, well happy that I did so well in my first tournament of the year.

Throughout the tournament, first 4 hours, saw very few hands to play, but I had a serial raiser and stealer to my right, so I decided to not let him do it on my BB and SB.  3 or 4 times, flat called his raise on my blinds, and just generally let him bet into me, followed by overbet on turn or river to make him fold.  One time it was a JJ I was holding with a flopped J...  Showed it to him..  Got comments that I always seem to get good hands whe he did too...!!  REALLY..!!!  LOL...  Now how many more raises can I outplay him with..

I was the low stack of 17k with 13 remaining, saw AQ and oppo raised to 15k ahead of me, so pushed my 17k to see him playing Q 10...  He hit 2 pair but I got the jack to double up......   Few hands later, moved onto other table, gets KK at 4k blinds, raised half my 34k, and got called, flop 9 high, so I pushed, got an insta-call from local guy called Dick, he had KQ hearts and 2 heart flop..  He missed, I am now at 70k and able to play rather than push and also not worry about whether I make the cash or not.

On final table, one guy causes lots of damage and takes out the early players, but then he managed to play 3 hands quite badly to lose the lot at 7th...  With 4 remaining, I am maybe 3rd in chips wth 90k ish, see Ace 3 hearts, BB looks to have 60k chips, so I bet 30k, knowing I cant fold to a reraise, he did just that and I apologised but had to call.  He had KK....  I managed to bink a rivered ace to win the only race I won from behind.

We played on for 15 more mins before we spoke about a cop, large blinds and just the 3 of us passing chips to each other.  £8100 to share 3 way was good for us all, and no messing needed.

I could not be happier...  I have had a good 2009 year with quite a number of good live results and certainly ahead with the bankroll, this will makes a tremendous start to 2010 and long may it continue...

Next one the team event, lets have some more of that please in Manchester.  See you all there then.

Cheers
Carl..
