i sniff a bad beat hand

and anyway the raise on the turn when a club came should have set some alarm bells off in your head
were you stacking off because you are annoyed your trips got busted?

what do you think he is raising with at this spot?

and at the very worst i think you should be check, crying call the river although i am pretty sure i could fold there

Min 3 bet is not good, oop you must make it $0.90 - $1.10

flop bet ok?

Its a very co-ordinated flop, so betting full pot is not a mistake, your $0.40 is a .66 psb and not overly bad but I do like to bet more for this flop texture.

turn, bet / call ok?

Turn lead is fine, we have the Kc for a back door 2nd nut flush if we are behind and the pot will be bigger than our stack if we call so I think its an auto re-pop shove. Even against a really tight range of JJ,88,AcXc, we have 51% equity

river lead ok?

I think check call is best now, it allows him to take a stab with worse hands that he"ll fold to a lead.

absolute not.....and at the very least, not my intention..hate bad beats, boring and predictable.  just wanted to know if i played it ok-ish, or if not  why not

and if i could get away from it on the river....protection by checking or bet/fold.

Only way (well best way) to learn is to post hands like this, by getting opinions from better players, and one of the reasons that i joined APAT....so please don"t say its a bad beat story...that grates on me.. :)

Min-raise pre is not good!!  Defines ur range and makes his range harder to determine which is a nitemare wen oop.

Flop bet needs to be bigger.  Really drawy board - need to charge ppl to get thr.  Bet~.90 imo.  This also allows u to get more value from stubborn 2nd pair hands.

Turn is fine.

River isnt as awful as I first thought wen reading it.  Sets rnt gng to fold at this level and we will still get random 2p hands to stack off.  Its so easy to hit the call button online tht I think u can get called a LOT lighter at this level.  We only have a spr of 1.  Im happy to get it in here with given stacks and top set.  Wish results had been left out of op.

At this level, players love to play suited cards, so the flush in this case is almost a certainty. I would advovate re raising to .90 pre flop, but you do want some action! The flop is very scary, and I would have been betting $1 to $1.30. You probs wouldnt have scared him off though.
I am spewing with the turn, cos you know he has it, decent size bet , as a last stab, but when called you can get away with it.
In your case though when raised with only $1.80 ish behind I am probably calling, and going to bed!!

Hand is a cooler.  You have top set and he has the straight flush draw on the flop.  All the money should go in there as standard.

Hate the min-raise pre.  What"s up with a standard raise?

its a tough spot to get away from.

Preflop raise needs to be larger. 3x his raise I think.
Flop "donk" lead is ok. Turn completes alot of draws here. You bet out again. Your donk lead on the flop can often be a drawy/weak made hand. The fact you lead out turn on a dangerous board, should"ve set off alarm bells in your opponent"s head - instead it didn"t and he raised you. This imho was the clue you were definitely beat now.
The river bet was completely inappropriate in my opinion. You need to be check/crying calling here alot or check/folding depending on the size of the bet.

Put it this way, if you only had a pair of pocket kings by the river (i.e. no set) you probably wouldn"t have shoved the river because of the super dangerous board. The fact you had a set here should not make suddenly turn this into a river shove and a hand you "can"t get away from"

If we had a pair of KK we cannot beat ne of his calling range.  W/ top set we beat all 2p and lower set hands.  I think its v result orientated to say c/f river.  I honestly dnt think the responses wuda bn the same if the results were not up.  Not stacking off with top set and a spr of 1 is a mistake.

Edit: eagerly awaiting Noble saying fold turn ;D

Way too fishy to min repop pre flop, i have tried this a few times with AA and people usually know what you have, trouble now is that you are giving him 4-1 to see a flop. Evan if opponent can see that you have Aces or Kings he is going to call. i havent even read the rest of the problem, but from others responses looks standard, straight flush draw vs set. money is going in even if you are playing face up.
