You are correct, the system has now changed whereby you have to be logged into your Betfair poker account.  At 9pm sharp a tournament will appear in the lobby where you can register for a seat to the live event.  It will be on a first come first served basis until they are all sold out.

Ticket price is £75 which is approx $120 which u will need to have in your a/c to be able to purchase a seat.

So it wouldn"t be impossible to buy two tickets? i remember last year using my barclay card the bank cancelled my card and got phone calls the next day because they thought i was using it for fraud  :"(

The only way you would be able to purchase two tickets is if you used two separate Betfair accounts eg yours and your friends to purchase seats.

Say i won a seat in the satelittes.. could i then also buy a seat in the clickfest in my friends name?

Your friend would need a Betfair account to be able to purchase a seat as it would be allocated against their account name.

Do they need a betfair account? or is it just a apat account they need?

Both Mike.  For your friend to be allocated a seat, their Betfair player id will need to appear in the Clickfest holding lobby on Betfair.  They will also need to be an APAT member.

So whats the deal with interns then this year? are they allowed still?
Pretty sure these are just people that turn up on the day. fair enough some are APAT members that didn"t get a ticket in the clickfest but random people in the casino on the day that have a spare bit of cash can join....
John Kay went on to win the tournament in Bolton but i"m pretty sure was not and APAT or BLSQ member at the time?

APAT is open to everyone, including new members at any time, whether it be online or local players in the casino who is hosting the APAT event and are lucky enough to get in as an alternate when they show interest in the event taking place in their local.

How about giving preference in seat purchase to the people who have played the satellites?

They are the ones who have demonstrated that they want to play the tournament the most.

What"s the definition of an APAT member? It"s a genuine question, honest! Isn"t anyone with a Betfair account considered a member if they register through the clickfest?

What about that fellow that won an event last season (I think) that just showed up on the day at the casino and wasn"t registered with APAT website or Blue Square? I saw something mentioned about it on another thread and I think that it"s anyone who plays in ANY tournament held by apat (live or online) or anyone who has reg"d on website. Not 100% sure though...
