Cruel river there for Don Roberts who went in ahead, and was ahead until John hits the straight on the river

Don Roberts finishes second winning  £2,000

and John Murray wins the UK Amateur Poker Championship for £3,500 and a GUKPT seat

Well done to both, and especially to John who has been "due" with a number of finals and deep finishes

UK Amateur Poker Champion 2010 - John Murray

Runner Up Don Roberts

Razz;

JP Round, exits out in 6th spot

after all the cards were dealt he was in an unusual spot where he didnt have a hand and the 7 high of Alex Gardiner took it down.

We are now in the money with 5 remaining.

How are Matt Russell and Rupinder Bedi getting on in the professional game  :D

And more importantly who is Tikay"s young pretty blonde replacement!

Razz;

Level up 1200/2400/300 ante and 300 bring in.

Jean-Micheal and David Llewellyn are the short stacks with around 8k each

Razz;

Steve M has just taken a large pot down vs Alex and is now chip leader

7 low was more than good enough

Kitty Lea is out the last hand before the break.

She raises to 1k, Ed Gascoigne reraises to 3.2k.  Kitty goes all in, and Ed calls for another 3.5k.

Kitty has pocket kings, Ed has ah 4h.  And the killer ace on the turn.

The rest of the table weren"t happy.

I"m heading out of The Vic to catch a train.

James is going stay on and watch the remaining 5 players in the Razz.

He"ll update that when he gets on a pc.

Thanks again to the APAT team - another great weekend!

Thanks, in particular, to the total fish sitting to the right of the dealer on the £1/£1 cash game before the 2.30pm start today (not an APAT member, of course!). He managed to spew about £400 in less than an hour, and then another £400 while Steve and I looked on from the Razz tournie!!

Food unusually good.
