First of all a big thanks to the APAT crew and the staff at the Vic for another thoroughly first class weekend of poker.

Secondly a big thanks to everyone who wished me luck either on-line or at the venue, it was much appreciated.

Congratulaions to all who cashed or made the ranking points.

And finally well done John, after all the deep finishes you have had in various APAt events you have reached the summit and it was well deserved.

The heads up was thoroughly enjoyable and I am sure you enjoyed the banter as much as i did.

Hopefully our paths will cross again in a future event.

All the very best

Don   :)

Wow - terrific weekend. Despite crashing early in the Main Event to a pretty nasty beat, this was one of the best poker weekends I can remember. Atmosphere was excellent, despite the card room"s obvious lack of appreciation for APAT. Food was probably the best I"ve ever had in a casino. Live Razz tourney was an experience, and I"ll be gob-smacked if Alex Gardiner hasn"t won it (he has just assumed my "luckbox" title for keeps!).

Cash games were just plain weird (..."I have top pair with 2 kicker, so I call your 2xpot £150 overbet on the river on a flushed, paired board..... oh you have me beat, nh!...")  £600 profit for two cash sessions - really didn"t want to stop!

Massive congratz to MR CONSISTENT JOHN MURRAY!!  If ever a guy deserves to take one of these down, it has to be you John. Over the moon for you!

To Joe, Charles, Gareth, and Gareth"s Dad.... we really should have let the Razz go and stayed with that plonker on the cash table. Moving was definitely -EV.

To Dan Owston - how many packages???  And yes, Baileys and Tia Maria - definitely a tart"s drink! :)

Cheers to Des and the team (too many to mention nowadays!) for yet another outstanding APAT event.

Big congrats to all those who cashed. Very WP medal winners. ;D
Excellent tourney & a good FUN game!!
I was lucky to have the lovely Jasmine next me for 6 hours (pic 42 approx).
Her boyfriend (pic 27 approx) is very lucky...especially if she can cook!
Ty once again to all involved for all your hard work.
I now officially hate AK...my nemesis at APATs. >:(

Ok so lets wrap this up

Well done to all players who cashed today and commiserations to those that didn"t but a great time had by all no doubt.

The Razz was wrapped up by 1030pm and congratulations to Steve Marskell for winning the Razz side event!

Claire McGregor exited in 3rd place for £140 when getting it all in and finishing with 10 low to Steve Marskell"s 7 low.

And Steve beat Alex Gardiner with 8 (8752A) low to Alex"s 10 low (10752A).

So Steve Marskell wins £300 and a Pro Event Seat worth £250, very well done

Finishing positions and money as follows;

1st Steve Marskell £300+ APAT Pro Event seat
2nd Alex Gardiner £220
3rd Claire MacGregor £140
4th Jean-Micheal Ballocchi £80
5th David Llewellyn £60
6th JP Round
7th Steve Redfern

Congratulations to all.

Bed time  :D

Have to say the photos of John have been superb, we see a relaxed and very happy John who is having a gr8 time, definitely on form and in the right place mentally to take down the tournament, which he DID!  His photo with trophy is one of the best I have seen yet of a championship winner.

I couldn"t believe you all left (you could have let yourselves get blinded away for the first level). I had a train booked and was thinking of just buying a new ticket and staying. He had a £300 stack when I went as well, although I"m sure he managed to lose it all.

Great Weekend by APAT as usual. Thanks to Rich, Leigh, Des and the rest of the APAT people. Great job by the Vic as well I thought, they were SO much better than Aspers (Les Croupiers FTW for the Welsh next year?).

And even though I already said it, well done John Murray for finally winning another one and to darren for a fifth final table.

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

This was my first APAT live event and also my first time at the vic, both the game and the venue were excellent and i would like to say "thanks" to all involved with running this event.
I arrived early and tightend was setting up with some other apatters whos names i am not yet familiar with. To me it was clear that the organisational and logistical side was complicated, yet these guys made it look easy which is a credit to all involved.

To all medal winners in all of the events "very well done and congratulations" but especially to my good freind John on his win in the main event, very well deserved. The scenes from Duffs fullhouse in waterlooville were amazing, we had the APAT live streaming on the big screen with crowds of people/freinds cheering John on, some of them still playing poker on our area final table.
Overall, a great weekend to be remembered.
