Nope..

28/8 - World Amateur Poker Championship - DTD, Nottingham - Day 1a - 207 runners
29/8 - World Amateur Poker Championship - DTD, Nottingham - Day 1b - 207 runners

You"re forgetting the Marketing, Free-roll, Satellite etc. seats which weren"t (AFAIK) included in the "tanks"

i don"t know what the max amount of players for the stud is but there is only 30 takers for that tournament, there are 30 seats for the day 1a of the main event left.

I"m not sure that the "extra" chairs (not seats) which might be available from the Stud not filling will be made available as seats for the ME as I suspect that they will hold these open for late local buy-ins for the Stud on the day.

Of course, I could be wrong...

Any of the options hinted at above still knocking around?

Question re Nottingham
« Reply #245 on: July 28, 2010, 21:34:15 PM »
I want to come along now after originally deciding I wasn"t going to go. Is my only hope the seat exchange, or is there a £250 event for pros like myself  ;D that has spare capacity?

At the moment the Seat Exchange is your only option.

However, I believe that Betfair and Leigh are totting up the number of seats left unallocated after the marketing, satellites and freerolls etc.

Once they have done that I think they"ll re-open the tanks...HOWEVER, you"ll probably have to be quick off the mark...like hot cakes they are.  ;D

Is the structure for day 1a going to follow the structure on the main APAT website?

The only reason I ask is that by the time the blinds reach 4000/8000 at level 15 there will probably be only a few left in and if followed with the same on day 1b, it won"t make for much of a day 2.

The first day usually ends at level 13....don"t forget there will be over 200 runners each day and perhaps only 30-40 will come back on day 2.

Average stack will be over 100.000 and blinds will be in the 2000/4000 range....still some play. I think there have been times when they have wound back the blinds on day 2 but that"s a judgement call on the day.

Thanks

With 200 runners there will be 2,000,000 chips in play and with 40 runners left the average stack will be 50,000 so at 2000/4000 probably a bit less play.

Am looking forward to the event though, should be good!

Apologies....I keep forgetting there is a Pro Event on the Friday.

I think there will be a tank on Betfair (if there isn"t already), when they finish updating everything following the software switch.

Pretty sure there are seats left...but you"d have to check.

There will be a tank, we"re hoping to make buyin available at DTD also (maybe with some satellites if they are keen).

Just waiting for the Betfair software to settle down.

Will be 54 runner capacity, so don"t see any problems in gettting a seat initially.

It is a 2:30pm start on the Friday though.

A normal APAT Day 1 has between 150-200 runners and we play down to around 25-30 (We don"t finish when he hit that number, it"s just the usual position we are in), so it will be fine.

Trust us, we"ve run one or two of these in the past.   ;)

See you in Nottingham.

You"re not quite with me...

There aren"t 200 runners in total..there are over 400 (I think nearer 450 in fact..assuming a sell out). Assume 40 (in total) come back for day 2...then it"s a simple calculation to see that there is only 1/10 of the field left so the average would be 10x the starting stack...i.e. 100,000.

Simples
