Open Question to Division 3 players.
« on: June 14, 2010, 11:18:04 AM »
I was thinking last night about my own performance in last nights games and all the previous matchdays.

My performance, by which I mean my railing, whether still playing myself or when I"m out.

I take the captains role seriously, and I was proud that I was chosen (for whatever reason it was) in the first place.  As a result I always try to make sure I say hi to the other captains, but to me, more importantly I "cheer/rail" my team where possible and wish them well etc.

With Luton having a high number most weeks, it is a different form of multi-tabling for sure!! But I enjoy it and wouldn"t change it.

It was this that made me think about my Railing.  I rail on all tables that have Luton player(s) on it, and encourage, wp, gg, ul, etc. and sometimes join in on the table conversation if appropiate.

Now this may annoy other players on said table, as do sometime have the tendancy to answer someone elses question which is I admit annoying....but I guess I get carried away - which doesn"t make it right I know, and I generally chat/rail quite alot..espiecally on the FT if Luton have a few (which thankfuly we normally do!!)

Now at a Final Table is it tense for the points and cash of course...so my railing maybe disturbing and not a good thing.

That is reallly the point of the post....to apologies to those that I annoy, and to really I guess ask if the general concensus is that I refrain, or lessen my chat/rail.

Genuniely no offence will be taken to any comments...this is a post within APAT ethos, and any replies comments will also be taken as such.

I"ve watched many a final table Warren, and the best part of it is usually the banter and railing from team-mates and captains.

It all makes for the experience which is the APAT Online National League.   ;D

If anyone"s disturbed by chat box banter, they could always do something radical..... like shut the chat box.

The banter and railage is the best thing about these team games.

Railing is great, keep it up, that is why APAT is so good, the genuine chat and banter that goes on in the spirit of the game makes it all the more enjoyable. Unfortunately some peoples idea of banter is different to others, apparently abusing other players is just banter if you are a "character". As Steve says if it offends switch off the chat box, but that shouldnt have to be the case at APAT.

Hi Warren

Played for the first time last night. I really enjoyed and appreciated your railing and also the fun banter between the players. However next time I play I must find out who my Luton team mates are  :) I did ask at the table last night but I"m not sure all the answers were genuine!

Waz - Your railing is part of your captiancy which has been committed and top drawer (with the exception of the one time you couldn"t be bothered to turn up using some poxy 26 mile run as an excuse  ;))

Your railing and encouragement has spread throughout the team to the point that teammates are encouranging each other in other games.

I once commented in a satellite that I was "loving the Luton solidarity" to which Brian Yates asked "Is that a cake"?

Furthmore Waz, the content of your railling is always in the APAT Spirit

Don"t go changing!!

Don"t go changing, to try and please me,
You never let me down before,
Don"t imagine, you"re too familiar,
And I don"t see you anymore.

I would not leave you, in times of trouble,
We never could have come this far,
I took the good times, I"ll take the bad times,
I"ll take you just the way you are.

Don"t go trying, some new fashion,
Don"t change the colour of your hair,
You always have my, unspoken passion,
Although I might not seem to care.

I don"t want clever, conversation,
I never want to work that hard,
I just want someone, that I can talk to,
I want you just the way you are.

I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew,
What will it take till you believe in me,
The way that I believe in you?

I said I love you, and that"s forever,
And this I promise from the heart,
I couldn"t love you, any better,
I love you just the way you are.

I don"t want clever, conversation,
I never want to work that hard,
I just want someone, that I can talk to,
I want you just the way you are.

Thank-you for the comments and thoughts.  It started to make me think that my constant "butt-ing" on other tables maybe annoying other players...but concensus seems favourable..so far!

The last thing I would want is to annoy others through my railing, so much so they"d prefer to turn off chat, as that wouldn"t be fair or right at all.

appreicate all comments, and onwards to Matchday 9.
