ok gotcha. For some reason I have no problem final tabling 90/180 SNGs on stars with reasonable regularity, but can"t seem to break through to the final 9 in this comp recently. Don"t know what thats about. Abit of bad luck maybe. Also i think when you"re used to playing turbos with 5 min blind levels, adjusting your game and patience to a 12 min level can sometimes be tough.
despite all that I still think shoving 9BBs with QJo from the sm blind facing a min raise from the btn was +EV. I think that making straightforward +EV moves once 20 players are left is the best way forward, because most people are tight at this stage. Once its down to 13-14 players, imo it becomes important to hold out for the final table to pick up points, hence passing up marginally +EV plays. What"s other"s strategy?
