Unfortunately, we will not be going back to The Fitz this year, due to the venue having logistical issues.

A venue will be announced very shortly, but we are confident it will remain in Dublin.

Rather a fraught week to be honest

Certain issues mean we cannot currently tie up a venue, though working hard to do so as I have been for some while

We decided to run the satellites and direct entry as is. Of course if the final venue (we hope Dublin, but cannot confirm yet) is not to your liking you can sell the seat or withdraw from any direct buy in holding tank

In the meantime no one should be booking non refundable flights or hotels to Dublin, yet.

geez i just booked everything this morning after reading this thread, it did not state date tbc, so now you are saying it may not be those dates, kinda awful considering I booked in advance to get cheap flights and not have to pay thru the nose.

I hope it will be the same date!

I don"t think Richard is thinking of changing the dates...I think that"s a last resort...it"s just that the venue is still up in the air.

TBH...I just don"t get the rush to book stuff that is uncancellable...but perhaps that"s just me that"s prepared to pay (if necessary) a couple of quid more to wait and see.

As a single parent, I took the opportunity to book in advance at a very reasonable rate, knowing that I was free to be able to go that weekend low cost.  Just seems a waste to lose the money I have paid already (no matter how little it is) to have to book different dates.

Just when Rich mentioned non-refundable flights not to book etc kinda suggests that it may possibly be different dates.

I don"t want to change the date. Or the preferred city

An email from the Fitz at 8.02pm last night meant that we"ve had to look elsewhere though. It just makes sense never to book anything until you see the details announced

Thanks Rich :) i realise now I shouldve made sure everything was set before booking, I just got excited that I could get away that weekend and cheaply.

Appreciate everything you guys do to get these tourneys organised for us.

xx

Silly question, but what is wrong at the Fitz?
