adding other sites across the OnGame network can only serve to increase the standard of opposition at each table :(

Looking down the list of sites already on...ahem...Ongaming, I"m not sure the standard will improve.

Not too worry steve i play on Betwin and its about the same mate with regards to the standard of play.  There is a mass of eastern europeans and other softer nations to pick on just as much as the betfair ><))))))*>

I for one welcome the change, be good to see folded cards after every hand, not just by random chance.  Personally happy for the extra tournaments and player volume and I"m certain as a few have said that the competition will still be soft.  Roll on August...

Looks sort of "On Tilt" like to me.

My kind of site

I thought Ladbrokes were on the OnGame Network but I see that MicroGaming sites just look very similar.

These are OnGame softwares;

BWIN
TowerGaming
RedKings
SmartLivePoker
Betsson
PrimePoker
Hollywood Poker

...and this sounds like mine!

I notice from the demo that Paulie posted that the software is multi OS support, Betfair on a Mac has to be a positive move I would say

whilst ongame isn"t the greatest, at least the structures of the mtt"s are smooth and also have the structure available to look at before deciding whether to play or not

Unlike Betfair at present where clicking on "structure" merely informs players of the starting stack  ??? ???

hope it works out for them

Gotta be a good thing as the current software is soooooobad!

I"m gutted!!  Combining the general Betfair userbase with players who currently play on other poker sites is a bad thing. The standard of play at Betfair is generally so very fishy and poor - adding other sites across the OnGame network can only serve to increase the standard of opposition at each table :(

That said though, more volume will be a bonus.

I grouped Betfair with PKR as sites whose fishpools didn"t quite outweigh the additional discipline I"d need to put up with the downsides.

Quick Overview (Care of Pokerlistings)
bwin Poker is one of Europe's oldest and most popular bookmakers, and through the acquisition of the Ongame network in 2005 they also became Europe's largest poker network. The game volume at bwin Poker and across the Ongame network is very good, providing good action on any level at most hours of the day. bwin Poker offers relatively juicy games, good game variety, great promotions and very good software, making it a first-rate poker room most players.

A recent upgrade in July 2009 has added even more features, including direct seating from the lobby, resizable tables and a downloadable Mac client, putting bwin up near the top of the industry as far as client software and design goes. The software is fast and stable and offers a very nice playing experience, although it may be a bit resource intensive for multi-tabling on slow computers. Real-money player statistics as of July 2010 show 5500 ring-game players and 15000 tournament players
Form is temporary, but class is permanent

The ongame software has many of the bits that members complained about that were missing in the Betfair software. It also has a far bigger player base so more action at all levels.

But I have always found ongame to be slow and problematic ( I used to play a lot on Poker Room which became a part of BWIN).

Recently played on Betsafe and it still seems slow compared to Betfair and ipoker.

I really like the Betfair graphics - plain and boring to some but I find all the fancy graphics distracting. Guess we"ll just have to get used to it  :-\

I"m with you on that - it"s particularly useful when having the window set to it"s smallest scale for multi-tabling.
