When I first used the Betfair software it was slightly lumpy and wouldn"t function properly. I rang the helpline and they said it was because my PC wasn"t brand new and super-fast. Once I clicked the "Older Computer" option it worked fine (well, better)... will the new software require any more computer "muscle" ?

PC

Recommended hardware:

   * Processor: 2 GHz Pentium processor
   * Memory: 1 Gbyte
   * Graphics card: 4 Mbyte
   * Hard drive: 20 Gbyte
   * A sound card.

Yeah...I was checking the tanks this morning and they were all missing...then the server went down!

Looks like it"s back up as I"m receiving updates.

[EDIT] Nope..it"s down again. I"m sure it will be back....s**n!  ;D

We are so pleased so many of you want to try our new product. Usually we see the load increase much later in the day. We had a gradual scale up plan for launch in line with our normal load during a normal poker playing day. With so many of you keen to see our new product we are experiencing a much higher load than anticipated this early in the day. We are looking to increase our load capacity therefore as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience.

Thank you.

tried http://service.betfair.info/ but it appears to be a dead site

Do we have to download new client software, or does that happen automatically? I tried opening BF client, but it just hangs.

managed to get it going once , but down again , one thing i noticed was a screen asking me to change my alias as it wasnt available anymore ,never managed to complete the change though as it crashed ,i take it if this happens we will need to notify of new name for APAT purposes.

update from BF

Please note that the same load issue on the upgrade (see our Betfair Customer Services "upgrade" thread) is also affecting access to our website when players try to upgrade their account. Our steps to resolve the load issue will also solve this. To reiterate, we expect this to vastly improve in the coming couple of hours. We will continue to post updates as we get them. In addition, refreshing the upgrade page repeatedly will not help you as much as retrying every couple of minutes.

Given that they"re changing it over today

I"m not going to go on to the site at least until tomorrow - I think it"ll save a lot of hassle that way

well I"ve got so far - the old software has been removed and the new software installed. Now when I type in my account details and password, it gives me a message saying a new window has opened into which I must input some account info..... but the window is blank....
