Um, is this Steph Boyd? If so, he"s on maybe 28k. He"s also sharing a table with moustache hero Dave Finney, Paul Testud, and a gent (also below) who is probably our new chip leader with an absolutely monstrous stack. Apparently the monstrous stack was acquired all in with 7-8o on a 9- tc- jc flop against an  ac kc that never hit.

Hell for Heller:

Adam Heller, having had a stack to contend with for most of this tourney, has just removed about half of his remaining chips in a couple of hands just now.  First off, a short stack min raised under the gun (blinds 400/800 ante 50), and Heller on the button made it 5k.  Back to Shortstack Matey who shoved, call from Heller, who showed  ac 9d to Matey"s  ah kc.
Flop:  jc qc 9h.  The table gently sucks its breath in in a disapproving manner.
Turn:  ad
River:  qs  And Matey doubles through after all.

Then.. chip leader Norinder calls Heller"s preflop raise to 2,500 in the big blind.
Flop:  ac ah :2h:  check...Heller checks too.
Turn:  7h Norinder checks again, Heller bets 3k....call
River:  qs  Check a third time - Heller bets 6,000 (over a third of his remaining chips)
There is a great mutual staredown at this time, and eventually Norinder makes the call, while Adam Heller taps the table, shows a bluffing  6s 9s and lets his opponent"s  6c 6d take in the pot.

Down to 100 players and they are all being converged in the one upstairs Poker Pit.  Sadly the break order for tables from here on in seems to be exactly that - starting at the rail (our only point of contact) and moving in.  One table still nicely visible has both Praz Bansi and Karl Mahrenholz on it now - the former on 45,000 and the latter around 33,000.

Mickey Wernick, according to Jon Raab, is "on life support...no cards all day, been pushed off a couple of times.  Plus there was a big hand Jacks vs. Fours which he lost 15k on."

This gent seated next to Rumit has just taken someone out with pocket Fours versus A-Q; not sure when the money went in but there was a Queen and a Four on the flop end of the board.

Rumit is on around 30k.

By the way update favourite Dave Colclough is still in, he"s just spent the entire tournament thus far seated in the most awkward possible locations for updating on. We"ll do what we can.

An unexpected mid-level dinner break has just been declared. A few snippets are on their way before we head out for a delicious and nutritious Wok 2 Walk supper.

Caught Pete Linton as they were streaming out of the Poker Pit - he said he"d peaked for the day on 27,000 by doing things like limp-re-raising with J-6 etc. but it all went wrong on the last hand before the dinner break.  He picked up  ac qc, and Mike Tse raised for the third time on the trot preflop.  Pete raised to 9k, but then found a big stack to his left re-raising to 25k, committing both players, pretty much, to a hand involving their whole stacks.  Mike thought for ages before passing (he said it was Queens) and so Pete got out of the way too.  The re-raiser showed a lone King, which probably put him in horrible shape in any case.  Back to a short stack for him, although he"s getting to the point where the money is almost visible - I heard they were paying 49 places.
