York 20th August  D4 Ebor Meet
2.50 Melrose hc
Injam @14/1  2point win
Regal Monarch @9/1  1point win
Emperor Napoleon @8/1  1point win

4.00 Ebor hc
She is no Lady @8/1  2point win
Heartbreak City @9/1  2point win

Just concentrating on the main York hc"s.
The 2.15 Strensall Stakes Scottish and Diploma have claims but Tullius and Countermeasure at current odds aren"t bad bets imo.

3.25 Gimcrack - Blue Point is the obvious winner, Mubtasim could go well but I was nearly tempted to back Unabated and Grey Britain to place.

good luck today with your punting.

just some thoughts on the Ebor - Beckett booking Dettori is a big BIG positive for this improving Filly. If Beckett had run Moonrise Landing i"d been all over that to lol. Quest for More confirmed yesterday how good ML is, 7l clear those two back in May (check that form line out).
One Mr Balding runs Ballynanty who ties in formwise with ML and currently overlooked in the market wouldn"t be the worst each way bet especially if you got five places.
Heartbreak City trainer Tony Martin booked McNamara which swung it for me, ignore his 18/19f form, this drop to 14f is/should be ideal.
Others that headed my shortlist were Kinema and Shrewd but I passed on the basis I think conditions will be to quick for them.

Yet again the Ebor Festival did not leave many racing fans/purists disappointed from a racing point of view. Although there will be a fair share of punters with empty pockets/wallets who will no doubt disagree with me.

Right a quick round up of the four days of punting -
Day1 -9 points
Day2  -5points
Day3  +20 points
Day4  +12points

+18 points profit from 42 points bet in total.
Time to get my head back into the form book for September and October, still with a few juicy races to come, i"m hoping to unearth a little pearler  :O

Nameitwhatyoulike for me

don"t blame you one jot, the Ripon Wilfrid wasn"t a bad race and he won that rather cosily. Low draw maybe the place to be and of the others Growl has the best 7f form and a low draw.
Bit more faith is required for PV drawn high but ran well in this last year and 20/1 is fair enough to take a small punt imo.
Hoping Growl will drift a bit before the off 5/1 is ok but hopefully the market will think it"s to short and will pile into some others.

2nd October
Chantilly
3.05  Arc
New Bay @11/1  1point win
Harzand @13/2  1point win

Postponed is the obvious one to beat but at the odds I"d only consider him as a saver bet if were to back him.
Of the rest I just concentrated on 12f form or course form. Two stand out, New Bay who won the Prix du Jockey here last year beating Highland Reel. NB has only started twice over 12f , beaten Silverwave and a third in last years Arc behind Golden Horn.
Harzand a dual Derby winner has a good draw which I hope will suit his style of running.
So two decent horses trained by half decent trainers with not to shabby jockeys on board lol.
Three or four others appealed but there double figure draw put me off.
