class only comes into the race if the race is ran quickly.Thats why in the states class droppers win many races cause they are all ran fast.
what really constitutes a good class drop? situations like when a horse is dropping into the claiming ranks for the first time for instance.. Pace will depend on what tactics dependent on draws or opposition etc , not a theory to get into now lol , a book can be written
uk racing a class 4 raced unsuccessfully horse now dropped into class 6 to me either it will meet its true level or not, plus his speed figures were ok " ish... other factors like well being, past injuries or current niggles count but without being there to see"em in the flesh, tough to factor etc etc
