Grands cruis looked very classy in the feltham - accurate jumping and a great engine he will be a gold cup contender next year, don"t think the RSA will suit though.  I would be tempted to go for the 2m 4f novice event at the festival.

Silviano conti and bobs worth ran great races too - there are so many good novice chasers this year

RSA should suit bobs worth the stiffer track at Cheltenham will bring his stamina play

I"d be tempted to go for the Gold Cup even though he is only a novice that was a very classy performance in the Feltham in a time 3 seconds faster than Kauto Star

Was discussing this video with someone in Brighton at the weekend. Typical of an American commentator as well, describing Alltintop as a rookie full-back  :D

Not looking good for racing this weekend - small stakes on the all weather for interest only (ie I can"t NOT have a bet on a Saturday afternoon)...

thinkerJE from Chelters thread...
Quote
If super Saturday goes ahead keep any eye on the betfair hurdle - 3 coral cup winners and 4 county hurdle winners have run in it in the last 8 years...

just some quick recent stats that might help some1 plant the lucky pin in the right place for the betfair hurdle formerly the totesport trophy and in the age of the abacus it was once upon a time called the schweppes... 50/50 to be ran so they forecast, crossing my fingers :)

5 to 7 yo"s have taken 9 of the last 10....
the last 5 winners have all been aged 5 or 6.....
6 of the last 7 winners carried 10-9 or less...
of the 3 horses that carried 10-10+ since 2000 to win in this race, all 3 had finished 1st or 2nd in either the Boylesports.com H'cap Hurdle or had finished 1st or 2nd in this race the previous year....
8 out of 10 winners finished in the first 3 last time out [5 of them had finished 1st lto]
8 out of 10 winners ran in a class 2 or better handicap hurdle lto [the other 2 had only ran over hurdles 3 times in there career]
10 out of 10 winners had run no more than 6 times since August...
9 out of 10 winners had run in 6 or fewer handicap hurdles....
10 out of 10 winners had won no more than 2 handicap hurdles in there career...
10 out of 10 winners had won a hurdles race with 11+ runners.....
7 of the 10 winners had finished in the first 3 in a hurdles race worth 16K+, the other 3 had won lto and had ran no more than 3 hurdle races in there careers....
out of the races that trainers will plan out a route for there horses, the recent prep races they target is the Bavaria Imported Premium Lager H"cap Hurdle 4 out of the last 10 winners ran in that... and in the Stellar Football End of Transfer Window H"cap Hurdle 3 out of the last 10 winners ran in that one.....
