Awful day for me yesterday.  One odds on winner and a third place.  Didn"t see any of the racing, but The New Forest Show was a huge success, so not all bad.

Just looking at todays card (and the weather) :)

LOL, yeah, today is a good day.

Would have been better if Muteela had come through in the last.

Not sure about the last now.  Seems to have been a bit of a run on Fire Fighting, from 12-1 into 4-1.

Possibly one of those races whereby you just have to watch the market ?

the only surprise for me was Tall Ship not being gambled on, Fire Fighting was fairly exposed regarding ground preference and MJ isn"t really the type to disguise his horses by running them on the ground [edit- wrong type of ground] for that length of time...

http://www.racingpost.com/horses/result_home.sd?race_id=604248&r_date=2014-06-29&popup=yes#results_top_tabs=re_&results_bottom_tabs=ANALYSIS

have a peek at the above, Tall Ship was only 4l behind the winner 1st 2nd 3rd all won next time out, how did the market miss that??  they obviously thought having moved from Stoutes yard to Moores that it must of been a duffer? given his breeding and how lightly raced he was, the step up to 13f plus the formbook, why did so many not chance Tall Ship??
its lto run at Epsom wasn"t that bad either in terms of weight and speed ratings compared to what the field over 10f had achieved neither....

meh never watch the market with a view to back what they are backing Leigh, backing your own opinion is the way forward.. let the sheep do there thing and take advantage :)

reason for edit - my fingers weren"t keep pace with what i was thinking:)

Goodwood 2nd August

3.50 - Stewards Cup
Intrinsic @7/1  2point win
Alben Star @8/1  1point win
Boomerang Bob @25/1  2point win
Seeking Magic @16/1  1point win
Ninjago @14/1  1point win

Basically if the rain doesn"t come i fancy Seeking Magic and Ninjago and i"ll double the stake on them as well.. If the rain does come and its good to soft or worse then Intrinsic and Boomerang Bob my main fancies...

my shortlist for the Stewards Cup was -
Ninjago
Muthmir
Hallelujah
Alben Star
Boomerang Bob
Rex Imperator
Seeking Magic
Fairway To Heaven
Intrinsic

fingers crossed i"ve plumped for the right ones.... good luck today Achim,Leigh and Wayne [i hope you was on Wannabe Yours yesterday]

i"m going to do the first two handicaps of the day, but i"m going to wait to see what the weather brings...

a couple of hard luck 2nds and a 8point loss yesterday puts the satdonk fred at +34.6 points for the festival, overall since i started the points staking on here it stands at +235.68
