That was until i raised my brothers BB with AA, which he called, and got it in on a flop where he hit a 4 that he had with his K against my AA, which held up and i was over 100k and on my way to the FT.

Well done Son :)

The foot went down, the manic grin appeared, the adrenaline coursed through the veins, smugness reigned

Then

The hazard lights came on, the airbags inflated, the ego deflated and bright lights burst as the poker life flashed before the victim.............

Home game tonight, missed last week due to work. Already at the pub with the rock, beer is flowing. I predict a mid table finish tonight, play well early doors then lose it all later on being aggressive trying to get chips in. It"s always the way!

Night out after will be fun as always though!

Last week went to plan, won chips early doors, got pissed, shoved 33 into AK and lost, and then shoved KQ into the same persons KK and lost that too! Night out after was awesome, hangover on friday was not.

Tonght there will be (slightly) less pissedness and i am feeling a strong showing coming on for some reason, we shall soon see!!

Well last night was fun!!!

Started off like a train, got a fair few chips in early and made a nice bluff with 72o which worked.

Then made a **** play against a short stack. I failed to take notice of his stack size when i check raised with a gutshot, and folded when he shoved, it was terrible on many different levels.

That took me down to 3.5k at the first break. Which was back up to 7k the hand after the break as i found 99 and shoved into the afore mentioned players raise, he thought i was at it (dont know where he gets this impression of me, i really dont) and called with k7, which missed.

Built up to about 18k, then had a series of standard shoving spots 4 handed as the blinds got bigger .

AQ losing to 44 and AJ no good when i ran into the bb"s QQ.

Had no problem at all with how i played any of the hands, apart from the one i mentioned earlier. OH!!! ANNNNNND having Q10 on a Qxx board, against a nitty player, turning a Gutshot to go with my top pair and saying "you have KQ dont you...sigh...go on then i"ll call" whiffing my GS on the river and insta folding, for her to kindly show me the KQ.

Love calling bets when i have put the other person on a hand that was beating me, its one of my key strengths i find.
