So, tomorrow see the return to the North East of not one, but 2 APAT legends.

Ger Smyth (Snr) and James Barber are making the trip up to join us for our home game, which i cant wait for :) Last time Ger came up, i won, and indeed last time James came up i.... WON :) This to go with me winning last week with a brutal display of luckboxing even Andy Overton would have been proud of means i am a shoo-in for this one too.

Now, the problems with said theory. One of them.. He looks liek a Walruss. And he is arriving at approx 1pm. This means i will be drinking from approx... 13.02 . Oh well, go on then :D

Massive shame that Poker pops cant be there, but i am sure we will get by.

In our little home game of 10 people or so, we have got alot of APAT medals, final tables, side event binkages, DTD binkages and more. I will have an ask round tomorrow, it is something i am quite proud of, as when myself and the Stockton Rock started out 6 years or so ago, this is all something that i would have never imagined could have happened.

The way we have all come on as players mainly by talking to each other about it all is quite astounding, it really is. We have a wide contrasts of styles, from the tightest of the tight to the loosest of the loose, but we enjoy every time we play immensely. It is always played in a good spirit, and we like to have visitors come along and ermmm... spice it up a bit....

Some of our lot havent played APAT, hopefully we can get them involved in all of this too.

There we go, some random, rather disjointed thoughts from myself :)

953 posts, a whole lot of tournaments, some memorable trips away and some fantastic friends made.

Cheers everyone. Have a good night.

Just had a phonecall off senior. He is on his way, meeting us at the pub between half 12 and 1. This is going to be FUN :) :)

Sounds like a great home game. Enjoy.
You can only play pocket jacks 3 ways, all of which are wrong.

It's only a gambling problem if you are losing :D

Well, back to work after a 2 week holiday today, which i must say i am looking forward to...

Had a great 2 weeks off, went to Download festival, came home from download festival, went back down to download festival! It was really very wet and muddy, more so than was bareable, which has led us to have a change of tactics for future festivals, admitting to ourselves that we are getting too old to camp so may have to hotel it in future instead!!

Came back for a few days and then went away to a B&B near leeds called Foxwood house which was fantastic, just relaxed for 3 days, that has really recharged the batteries after what had basically been a massive drinking session for the week or so before it.

England in the Euro"s is proving to be an interesting one. While we dont look anything special at all, there is a bit of steel to this lot in my opinion. JOhn Terry is looking like he is well up for it and has proven why he was rightly picked over Rio Ferdinand, and if you add Rooney back in there up top it gives us a bit more drive and desire which will help going forward.

We wont win it obv, but will be interesting to see how far they can get :)

Right, as mentioned i am at work today, so i need to set about shaving this beard that i have lovingly cultivated over the last 2 weeks. Sigh.

Hope you are all well!
