Why is everybody taking the micky out of him over this. It is a very sensible move.

We did indeed make it the whole way through!

The rain on thursday started just after we got our tent pitched, so we hid in there for a bit until it cleared up in the evening. Wellies and waterproofs were needed thursday and friday, but by saturday the whole place was drying up nicely, and judging by the suntan i now have, the festival was moved to the face of the sun on sunday!

Was a fantastic weekend with 2 of my best mates, some great music and a load of beer, couldnt have asked for it to be any better really.

Am off work til friday now, so have plenty of time to recover a bit, which is a godsend!!

In the meantime, I need to start to make arrangements for the Cardiff stag do. Need to make sure Philip barely makes his wedding me thinks...

So, we are now 1 day away from event 2 of the APAT calender, excited much?!?!

I have ben on nights all this week, got one left tonight, then home for half a days kip, then down to the Ricoh, hopefully arriving around 6pm i would think.

Really looking forward to the weekend, although it was only in April, the World Championships feel like ages ago! Am looking forward to seeing you all again, as i said somewhere else, I have missed everyone loads, and indeed missed APAT events in general.

Coventry is a casino with which I have a.... chequered past :p

In my more wild days, it was the place where I defended my European Championship title in 2010, which was an utter horror show. I got the clock called on me, got KK beaten by QQ for my tourny life (by the clock caller!) drank the casino out of Jaeger, got accused of being racist, and then won the PLO8 side event on the sunday in my first ever time of playing it!! Some weekend that one was!!

Since then, I have been down there while watching Boro play Coventry, at which time I smashed their local re entry comp to little tiny pieces.

No matter what happens, it is always a fantastic laugh, and I am looking forward to sharing a beer or 2 with some great friends.

Safe journey to everyone travelling, see you all soon!

In my more wild days

That was my first experience of Stu I thought he was ok :-)

I wasted that weekend in the poker room when things were happening at the bar. I have not been back since think this time might be different.

As annoying as working in retail is, Teaco has a great range of benefits, probably the best in the sector for its staff.

One of these is that every year we are given a % of our yearly wage as free shares. I have been in this for many years, but mainly just forget about it

So, got a lovely letter through the post today, telling me that I got some free shares that have matured so I don"t need to pay NI or tax on them, this comes to about £850. The flights to Vegas and back are £650. Premium economy is about £1k. So, after expecting to have to stump up the money out of my own pocket, Tesco have decided to pay for me.

Next question, do I put up the extra 200 notes and upgrade to premium economy, or do I stay cattle class and use the rest of the money towards my hotel?

Stay cattle - Premium not worth it IMO.
