Shamless brag.

Today I entered a 1cent satellite on Party Poker, won that one, won the next one, entered the 1k guarenteed lightweight and thought i might as well win that too!!

Had Rodders on team view watching me, always good to have someone of his calibre watching on and talking through your play with you. Nice confidence booster before Vegas that.

And it meant that i missed 5 a side in the freezing cold.

Happy days.

I didn"t really say much though just basically watched and agreed with most of your plays, and the ones I didn"t you played the spots better than my idea"s anyway *lol*

One of the best displays of proper aggressive poker I have seen for ages from about 7 players out there was only one winner of that tournament . It was actual relentless aggression and none of them had a clue what to do about it. I think you raised about 80% of hands from 6 handed forward and even when somebody called you and won you had the chips back in no time as they were scared to get in a pot with you without a massive hand. Play like that in Vegas and you will do well. Very well played.

Odds against.

Sunday is NFL night in the Ward household, and I like to have some bets.

Todays bets are on, Im not telling you what they are due to not wanting to Bok myself/look silly if my good run is snapped!!!

Currently sat with a beer, watching the Giants v Rams live from Twickenham.

Having NFL games over here is fantastic, we go once a year to Wembley and its always a fantastic experience and a great weekend with mates in London.

wow, apparently even mentioning them is enough for a Bok! Terrible nights betting, which is annoying as my strike rate on these has been really good so far. Oh well, onwards and upwards!

2 weeks 1 day until going to manchester. Thats 15 days. Thats not long!

Fold pre, not a nice hand to play oop

As played you get called in one spot which is ok. You are the biggest two stacks, so you don"t really want to get in a big pot with a marginal hand which is going to be hard to play oop. The flop is not too good and really misses you range, does not really hit a caller either, no obvious draws ect. I don"t dislike the flop bet too much as he is going to give up quite often which is fine. Bet size is ok.

When you get called he can have a 10 or some kind of under pair to the 10. Looks like you have missed as well on that flop. I suppose he could be floating. Maybe there is a case for the turn bet based on this but I think it gets called a lot once the flop has been called.

I would usually just check/fold turn as I don"t think you get too many folds on the turn which call the flop, although you might get them off on the river. if I do fire the turn I am betting most rivers as well (not a king or a jack though). I don"t want to get in a big pot though.

We discussed this at the time and you weren"t so mean :p

As it happens, I bet the turn and he folded.

This feels like a long time ago now, I have played a lot of hands over the last couple of days!

I think at this point in the tournament I was pressing the gas and looking to put pressure on every hand.

He has to be damned sure that he is ahead to continue against a big stack like the one I was wielding. It felt like a great pressure to fire some bullets at him and lay down a marker.

So a few days ago, I started playing poker for Bankroll Supply!

At the minute, I am part of a group grinding out satellites on Party Poker, its not the most glamorous thing in the world, but Im really enjoying myself.

I have made a decent enough start, and am in profit for my 3 days played so far, and when I get used to the sats and how they play and what tactics need to be employed I am sure that I will do well at them.

I have played about 3000 hands since starting, and I am already becoming immune to some of the fantastic beats playing large volumes of hands online can bring, I cant promise that will transfer to my Live game however.

It HAS reignited my passion for poker, and I am very much looking forward to Vegas, and am confident I can do some damage over there.

10 days time. Not long to go now :)
