For the Champions team, the CofC event is the night before, with Champions travelling from Latvia, Austria etc and we wanted to provide a team for these people to take part in the Team Champs and not just come over for one event.

Excellent concept - those new to APAT will see it in all it"s glory..... and what a blinkin tough team that will be!

And that"s just the players you"re talking about.  What till you see the management team in place, and Tighty has spent the rest of the budget on pre event high altitude training (we will be up north afterall), a team of massage girls (Mostly for the update area), Team Jackets (Modelled on BCPC Team England 09) and a crack team of outside caterers to ensure no additional pressures around making the buffet queue.

Preparation is everything.   ;)

I would love to be invited to play for the APAT team.

+1

+2 (and most everyone else on the forum probably :))

+3  ;D

Good luck to you all then, the APAT team will certainly be good. You have a chance of the double I reckon (this year and next).

We"ll be approaching a potential captain of the APAT team shortly. Assuming he or she says yes, its him or her you will need to speak to.

This sounds like fun - though an 8 man team and a 20 player CoC tournament, will there be two teams? Or a battle to apply - in which case I"d love to join the team, or any team for that matter!

It will be picked by an experienced management team to ensure we get as many of the travelling champions in as possible who haven"t already got teams for the weekends tourney.

As you have pointed out Dave, the numbers don"t quite fit, but we"ll try and accomodate as best we can.  It will definitely only be one team though.

I would like to register an interest for the LBPN Poker team, we have fortnightly tournaments attracting anywhere between 30 and 50 players, and we are now in our 4th season. It would be great to pit our skills against the cream of APAT, and the rest!

Wasn"t aware a web site was necessary? I am pretty sure that a number of the teams applying don"t have. If required I can supply the Facebook link to the league.

A website isn"t necessary, but the event is likely to be over-subscribed. The more info we have about the League the better when it comes to decidding about which teams participate

At present I know nothing about LBPN apart from the brief info you gave above.

Good to know you"re on the case, a few days after someone else has already posted on this thread and a couple of days after THM is included in the list on the main thread, you"re right in there - getting the job done.
