I don"t think that will help increase the numbers Mike, you"ve got to be over 18 to join DTD and need photo id and stuff.

Could always give it a go, get yourself a poker stable, train them in the art of Mikeyboy poker, see what happens.   ;D

Although I think there"ll be a hefty overlay for this, are people going to travel a distance for a £50 comp (no matter how good the structure)?

So the next question is how many players who are in the catchment area of DTD will want to play a 2-dayer (or three for those playing the Friday) with the incumbent hotel costs, etc.?

I"ll definitely be playing it, and I"m sure a whole load of APATers who live within an hour or so of Nottingham will also be up for this one.  How many will be travelling from further afield?  Will be interesting to see...

I see your point.  I was thinking of travelling up from the South Coast on the Friday, to support the day that will be toughest to fill, because that"s the type of guy that I am.

I hadn"t thought about the incumbent hotel costs, etc.   If only I knew someone who lived local, that may be able to put me up for a few nights.

Do we know if DTD will have any other tourneys on over that weekend in the evenings ?  If I knew I would get a decent game on the Saturday night aswell, then it"s even more worth it, and I can travel back on the Sunday, and get home in time to find out who won.
