Gutted for Ant, outdrawn yet again, just like on every one of his 23 previous APAT FTs.

Just got home to read through the entire thread, congrats to all the final tablers especially the medal winners. Once again huge thanks to Tighty, Leigh and all those at The Fitz for another memorable APAT experience.  ;)

A few things I learnt whilst playing a few sit n" go"s with the gang last night (A number of which were BCPC members)

1 - The meaning of the word pineapple.

2 - I have gained a reputation for playing any two cards.  Don"t know how ?

3 - Will Young has a sixth sense when it comes to poker, and he wasn"t even in Dublin.

4 - BCPC have a strange explanation for what"s happened to Des lately.

5 - Verbal bullying a friend heads up, just to win a sit n go, is very bad form indeed.

6 - Don"t ever listen to Andy Duncan or my advice when aforementioned bullying is happening as the results can be disastrous.  Sorry Debs.   ;D

7 - Don"t play the Chinese at poker in The Fitz, we think they play with a marked deck.   ;)

8 - Ant Williams does actually play other hands than KK, AA.  It"s true, I saw it with my own eyes.

Just read through the reports, great up dating as usual from the guys, well played all at the FT, really UL for Ant and Tim, they were by my count the 5th and 6th people to go out with Queens when going in ahead (Inc me!). Really enjoyable weekend even though the poker was pretty disastrous! How good is Guiness?

Great updates from Rich & Leigh.  It is really good to be able to read through after returning from the event and fill in all the gaps.  Another top weekend, well done to the champion and those at the final table, see you all in Luton.

Great updates, how you guys do it when running those things to that level is amazing.

Great weekend, great people, you all know who you are so I won"t name you all. Nothing else I can add really. It was good to meet Phil, Andy and the Stockton Rock (who"s name I have forgotten sorry) for the first time.

The funniest part of the weekend was having completed the tournament I stroll into Larry Murphy"s where most of the lads have been all day Paul Mac asks me if it is gold or silver and I hand him the very silver medal. In the light it looks like a gold medal, Paul shouts "its gold" and all the guy"s start cheering and it takes about a minute to explain it is actually silver :-)

Dublin was great. Thanks for the support from everybody. I didn"t play well on day two and was lucky to come second to be honest. Thought had a pretty good day one though.

I will get it done eventually though. Bring on Luton.

some interesting(?) facts about this Final Table.

Tim Magnus is going for his 2nd APAT Title, after winning APAT Wales a few years ago.

Steve Roderick has cashed for the 4th time this season (must be a record), his 2nd succesive final table, and is now leading the seasons rankings.

Ant has now made another FT, and his 2nd Irish FT in 3 years, which is the same as Bobby, who finished 2nd here 2 years ago.

Swansea was not a cash (only the final table was paid). I have only cashed three times

Aberdeen
Nottingham
Dublin

I thought Darren cashed 3 times in 2008 also? Will check that

Thanks Chen,

One thing that I would like to point out.  The way you handled yourself at the poker table was a joy to watch.  No matter whether you won a pot or lost a pot you had a smile on your face.

And the way you reacted with those unfortunate hands when down to 3 players is a reflection of the true gentleman that you are.

Long may we see you at APAT events.  Great respect for your game and your attitude.
