Hmmm...I now have a short-list (irony) of 15 establishments that might be worth a visit while Ger is in town.

So much of pacing myself.

This could take some work.

Added a couple more....brace yerself. MAP

You know when life has hit the fecking Doom Switch on you?...I do!

I"d finagled a little breathing room on the old finances front with a look at making Portugal...certainly I"d increased the chances from 19:1 against to more like 50:50 but would the universe give ne a f*cking break? Would it hell!

In the style of Sir Paulie

I came out of my abode on Monday morn to find that some varlet had side-swiped my trusty steed ”Owdeeayfor”.

Poor nag that he is...one of his ears had been lopped and his left flanks severely scarred. I took him to a local ostler who specialises in treating wounded steeds but the news was not good.

My purse could not sustain, of its own accord, the cost of treating my ebon friend and thus I was forced to call upon Stallion Surety with whom I had wagered that such an eventuality would not occur.

They undertook to bear the cost of treatment but I will be required to pay 400 gold pieces from my own treasury.

Thus the likelihood of a trip to Portagee has, once again, withered.

Feck.

I swear I"m doomed.

If I park the car in the area behind my block of flats the local toerags have a go.

If I park it on the street some a-hole hits it.

If I park it (legally..in a designated bay) on the pavement, the local council stasi send me penalty notices because their contracters haven"t repainted the bay outlines.

No wonder I can"t bink anything...the universe bleedin" hates me.

Introduce the finger....buy a second hand Proton for £400 and "become" the toerag.

At the moment, I"m feeling as though I"ve been bent over and had this done to me.

Have you not thought combining the Orleans with the Gold Coast? Keeps you off-strip around NYE.

You know...i saw something about the GC today on Vegas Chatter.

Could be worth a look...I"ve heard great things about Ping Pang Pong"s and the prices look cheaper than the Excal. Can"t get a price to book in January yet (which is odd) but it would be another hotel to cross of my list.

We didn"t stay there in the end but Rich Offless has always recommended it to me.

Arriving at the Holiday Inn, Ger was most displeased to discover that, heaven help us, the hotel bar was shut. I left Ger and Phil in the foyer negotiating with the night porter for a bottle of wine.

Which he shockingly refused us.. to be honest I think if we"d pushed a little more we"d have got there, night porter was like "I just wish they"d feck off" haha  ;D

Before long Phil & Stu has turned up and it wasn't too long before there were a dozen of us, including Rodders and Michelle, monopolising the seating area behind the pub. It was all very nice too, sitting by the canal with canal boats and other small pleasure craft passing by.

Hmm this appears to be completely missing from my memory. Must have been a fantastic day. I blame Ger, simple because he seems to be the most likely cause of this issue !!!
